I will never be happy till Marvel fully restores the marriage of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Until then, enjoy my versions of said characters tying the knot.

Goth MJ as Spinneret!
I've been reading Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows lately and it's made me want to draw my own take on Mary Jane's alter ego, trying to match her love's aesthetic while keeping true to her own. I think it turned out nice!
MJ takes a steamy selfie for her boyfriend, unaware that her webbed lover is closer than she thinks...

I was gonna take a break from drawing my beloved alternative variant, but this idea popped into my head and wouldn't leave.
Goth MJ meets Classic MJ!
Goth MJ and Black Cat! A friend of mine suggested drawing them together so why not? I did draw/write the speech bubbles on the actual paper but since my handwriting is atrocious, I covered them up with digital versions.
True love never dies...
Wanted to welcome the month of October, so I decided to take my versions of Spidey and MJ and give them the Marvel Zombies treatment.
I really like how you designed spidey and mary jane! What were your inspirations?
Thank you! For MJ, I basically just made a version of her that catered to my personal tastes, so I made her a thick, goth cutie, her aesthetic inspired by Thorn from the Hex Girls. I feel like there's too many skinny girls in comics anyway, and I feel like having a chubby girl be seen as a paragon of beauty like MJ usually is would be a nice change of pace. As for Spider-Man, I designed his outfit with inspiration from the works of Lee Bermejo and Alex Ross, wanting to make his costume, especially with the disorganized web pattern and red tattered web wings, look like a goth girl majoring in fashion design made it, since in my universe it's MJ who is responsible for the classic Spidey suit.
Not everything needs to be a finished piece. Sometimes it's nice to just put your pencil to paper and just sketch.
