is there any way you can emulate the work conditions you had at uni?

so we do have an office room but it’s really not the ideal place to work since it’s a mess and my parents often walk in and out of it but i didn’t really consider using it realistically until now? (thank u for helping me think of that!) i might just have to co-opt the place for at least the rest of the semester though

ah i’m so glad! it’s always heartbreaking to receive a slightly damaged book from transit and not from age or other hands. i’ve actually just read the 1818 edition and i really enjoyed it! let me know how it goes!

as for your blog, i immediately think of lush mountain spaces, blue skies, open air… but as for people, there’s a bright, light, airy, openness to your blog. there’s room and space to spread your arms and the smell of salty sea air. your blog feels very (if i could i would just say the odyssey, but since i can’t) odysseus!

4. Are you an adventurous reader?

Not these days unfortunately! The library is closed and I have a stack of books I've been meaning to read for years, so I'm trying to work my way through those before I can start adventuring off through genres again!

13. How do you feel about marking your books?

It's not something I personally do, especially as the books I read are usually library books or books I intend to donate afterwards.

14. What's the oldest book on your to-read list? When did you add it?

Goodreads tells me it's Stardust by Neil Gaiman, which I added in the summer of 2015. I saw the movie a few months ago and thought it was super cute so I might give that a try soon!

20. How much do book covers matter?

If I'm already committed to buying the book I don't really care about the cover very much.

I do! Mainly because every year, Goodreads tells me to set the reading challenge goal and so I do.

20. how much do book covers matter?

I love pretty book covers, but I understand that some books with lovely covers are absolutely terrible and that some wonderful books have literally the Worst Covers. If a prettier cover of a book that I already own and really like is released, and it’s not absurdly expensive, I will probably spring for it.
