Greyplatonic — A term with three generally accepted defintions:
A term for people somewhere between aplatonic and alloplatonic.
A term for people on the aplatonic spectrum whose experiences are not fully captured by the aplatonic label.
A term for people on the aplatonic spectrum who experience some level of platonic attraction (e.g. demiplatonic, frayplatonic, etc.)
Also called grey-apl or grey-aplatonic. Alternatively spelled grayplatonic, gray-apl, or gray-aplatonic.
Etymology, flag symbolism, and further info is below the cut.
Etymology — From "grey area" in application to attraction/aplatonicism.
Flag Symbolism — The flag symbolism is as follows:
The blue-tinted stripes represent greyplatonic people who identify as part of the aplatonic spectrum.
The yellow-tinted stripes represent greyplatonic people who identify as part of the alloplatonic spectrum.
The grey stripes with no tint represent greyplatonic people who identify as neither apl-spec nor alloplatonic-spec.
The desaturation represents greyplatonicism as a whole, as well as a sense of fuzziness or blurriness common among greyplatonic people.
Stripes get thinner towards the center, representing how it can be difficult to pinpoint where one falls on the spectrum, and how identities can blur together.
It is based on my greysexual flag, with some color changes inspired by the aplatonic flags.
