can we still participate even if we didn't sign up earlier in the year? some of the prompts look interesting.
we originally had a strict timeline for when each step of the prompting and claiming process was to take place, but after some consideration we've decided the more the merrier, so you are still more than welcome to claim a prompt now and participate!
When can fics be added to the collection?
the collection is set to moderated but not closed, which means you should be able to add fic to the collection already. they have to get approved before they show up in the collection, but they'll still be anonymous and unrevealed (also while waiting for approval). let me know if it doesn't work though

hey anon! you should be able to see the prompts straight away, without doing anything. below is a screenshot of what it looks like if you are logged into an ao3 account that has not claimed or prompted anything in the collection.
if you then click on "prompts" at the side it will take you to this page:
there, you can look through the prompts we have until you find one that you like and then you just click on claim. that's all you have to do

you can submit your prompt straight to the ao3 collection if you'd like! check out the button "prompt form" at the side and it'll take you there. that way you can make sure your prompt is exactly how you were thinking of it

for the sake of the fest we're keeping it strictly to people who were first-driver-second-driver teammates during the 2024 season. as liam replaced danny and they did not race side-by-side they aren't considered divorcees for the fest

you are free to submit art or media that is not fic, given that you still fill a prompt and post to the collection. this event is a fic event first, so it won't be catering to multi media specific needs, and the majority of submissions are intended to be fic. but you can create art if you want to
