Darkness Envelopes Her
@hellishhexing
After the death of her parents, what she found later was the work of a Huntress seeking revenge, Toni withdrew more into herself, spending most of her days locked in the room Vlad had allowed her to borrow.
She went back home just long enough to gather a few personal belongings, went into town for a short meeting with the coven, then retreated into herself again. They looked on her with pity, and sorrow, and she couldn’t blame them. But she hated it anyways.
If she’d been stronger, smarter, meaner her parents wouldn’t be dead. But they were. For now. She would fix it, she would bring them back, and she’d avenge their deaths.
Sitting in a clearing in the woods, the power of the night surrounding her, Toni focused on the target she’d erected, a vase sitting on a tall stump in front of her. Taking a deep breath, she gathered her magic around her, her skin positively humming as she held her hand ahead of her, a soft gasp escaping her lips as the vase exploded, a piece of ceramic cutting into her cheek as it shattered.
