🤬🤬my fandom WILL get recognition
idk if this is exactly historymaxxing irs just me yapping but sometimes i wish that the haitian revolution gets the same amount of fanart or animations as the french revolution/amercan revolution, i feel like itd be REALLY cool to see them ANDD itd make me very happy🥹🥹i love haiti and its history with all my heart even if i dont know all its history(surprising but im lazy and procrastinate alot but next im gonna learn about its two empires and when haiti split in half into the republic and the kingdom), moving on from the revolution I FEEL LIKE THE KINGDOM WOULD BE REALLY FUN TO SEE ART OF especially Marie Louise-Coidavid(if i spelt that right). she promoted formal information and established a legion of female soldiers that worked in the revolution called “Amazones”. She was seen as a supportive figure for the kingdom too. If I remember correctly, her husband (Henri Christophe) committed suicide after suffering from a stroke that led to a rebellion. She left Haiti with her daughters and traveled to London, then Italy(i forgot exactly where) where she died. Shortly before she died she wrote a letter for permission to enter Haiti, she never did unfortunately. Okay thats all i remember but I’d REALLY like to see animations about Haitis history. Small chance of it happening but the chances are never zero
holy shit i havent posted art in 3 weeks but heres a Haitian historical figureee😋😋
