The Ghoul, a character who refuses to take off his mask. A mask he's been wearing for 200 years to survive in the wasteland.
Maximus, a character who is we actively see put on and remove his mask. Showing us his struggle on who he wants to be and who he thinks he needs to be.
Lucy, a character who doesn't really have a mask. She wears her emotions on her sleeves and speaks her mind no matter the situation.
And then you have these characters interact with one another. Now The Ghoul struggles to hold onto his mask. Now the frequency at which Maximus switches his mask increases. Now Lucy has to consider if having a mask is necessary to adapt to the wasteland.
Woah, just finished the season. Gonna need more time to process Chaos Theory being done.

Okay so I'm going to be honest with y'all. I had very low expectations going into this season and as a result I believe I was able to actually enjoy it. Its not perfect but I did have fun watching it. I'm very content with the finale/epilogue :D
Darius is my favorite character in both jwcc and jwct. I love that guy. One of my concerns going into this season was how they would handle his character and I'm so glad they didn't fumble it. My boy was able to lead, be mad, show sadness, and talk about his feelings. Thank goodness. I knew Ben wasn't going to die but that didn't stop me from worrying like crazy. I would have liked for the Yasammy conflict and reconciliation to have been handled a bit different but I did like their flirting and am happy they're back together. Kenji's and Brooklynn's talk in episode... i forgot the episode number but their chat was very nice and I liked it.
Now if you know me then you know I'm a big OG gyrosphere shipper so I guess I gotta bring up Benji and.... *sigh* Dinostar.
Alright, I'm a just say it Benji nation was fed this season. Idc what anyone says but we absolutely won. No they're not canon but give it another year or two and I think they can make it work. And yes, we can throw Gia into the mix too. Like, c'mon man– I thought they were going to kiss like twice lol.
Now Dinostar... oh Dinostar, how I love you. I never really expected them to be canon. When jwcc s4 dropped I accepted the fact that it wasn't going to happen. Jwct gave me crumbs but I wasn't going to fully give into hope. That elevator scene with Darius and Brooklynn is enough for me. We got an exchange of platonic "I love you"s and a hug. I can live with that. 💖💛
Also, um aro Darius practically confirmed so I think that's a cause for celebration!!!
