       Her voice is tempered by an edge of softness. It is easy to forget that there is a world beyond the battlefield -- war has a way of strangling the moments in between, stealing the pleasantries, the seconds spent being human. But it’s no excuse for failing to give credit where it’s due. Taking the time to make things known ( gratitude, respect ) should always be given the same weight as training to cleave an enemy in two. 

       ❛ I wanted to thank you. It is no easy task to take on the mantle of keeping the Deliverance going. I’m very grateful for how you handled that -- difficult time. ❜ She has never doubted the strength of the men who fight for Zofia, but it is one thing to believe a truth and another to see it witnessed.

  ♡ — She was a servant to faith. She had never wavered in her path, she thought, and she worked to hold the strength to care for others and ensure they did not die under her protection even before she had set foot on a battlefield directly. Still, as of late, her mind was clouded over.

When she approached Lukas, her solemn expression was plain as day, finding little need to hide it from the soldier, and her voice was somewhat quiet, wispy even, as she looked to him for guidance.
