i went and reread some of the chapters [not the S chapters pssssh naaah no way not meeeeee....] and i forgot about the detail of the cage under bailey's bed??? HAHAHA bailey you wanna explain yourself my guy--

I hc that Bailey was/is big into BDSM and the harder kinkier stuff in his teens/adulthood and he still has sex furniture he hasn‘t gotten rid of LMAOO

He doesn’t use it anymore (says he doesn’t have the time) but who knows, maybe Reader is gonna get on his nerves enough to be put into it cough cough

I know Bailey knows Shibari/Bondage and I hc as an „orphan“ (before he took over the orphanage from his father) he was forced into sex work too, so he’s much kinkier and knows how to pleasure people lmao.

I actually think Bailey can be a good Dom for ppl he genuinely cares for (which aren’t a lot LMAO), his view on sex and intimacy is just very screwed growing up in DoL Town.

During the 5 years Y/N was "dead," Bailey went through the "I miss my wife"© phase? That man kept her belongings and left her room untouched this whole time, so I'm surprised he didn't immediately jump for joy upon seeing her alive (even if he's emotionally constipated) /j

Tbf if you’re 1000% certain someone is dead seeing them again is pretty haunting in itself, not to mention Bailey has been exclusively stuck in the “anger” stage of the five stages of grief /hj

But no I’m glad that much has become obvious that despite his whole attitude and “No I didn’t fucking miss y/n” he more so locked away any feelings he could have whatsoever about the situation (like he does lmao) in order to deal with it the Bailey way™️

He def isn’t the type to sit in y/N’s room after her death and bawl his eyes out (like Robin did a bunch of times) but you can bet he sat in his office staring in the direction of her room and listened to Robin’s sobbing for multiple times until he decided to lock it for good - his reasoning back then was so she wouldn’t “wail every damn night” and get on his nerves, but the truth would be that his frustration about the entire situation (and subconsciously about the fact Robin is “allowed” to grief this openly while he couldn’t) lead him to that decision, and so he wouldn’t have to deal with it anymore in his eyes. Putting a literal and figurative lock on the whole situation, nothing in her room was moved or changed, it’s stuck in time just the exact same when y/N died similar to his feelings, still stuck in the exact same moment but put under lock.

I think Bailey is less the “I miss my wife” guy and more “She died and I can ignore that until I get reminded of her” type, which is why he avoids any and everything that does like hell. So when y/N walked back through the door it was less a moment of joy and a “omg she’s alive”, but more thinking y/n can’t be alive, and now there’s someone who looks exactly like her who’ll remind him of everything he tried to bury, like an old wound ripping back open again. He was forced to open the lock on a door he thought would stay forever closed, and has to deal with the consequences of that now.

Not really much in the DoL fandom itself since I left the server cuz of mods being awful to Bailey shippers in general but I get why the whole discourse might break the camel’s back about not wanting to associate with DoL mods and fans anymore

There’s a bunch I don’t like about the game (racism, the whole islanders thing, the weird pro-life message about having no abortions etc., the fact it’s very obv written by cis people with weird patriarchistic views about virginity blah blah blah fetishizing of eastasian culture esp japanese one etc. I could go on) but nonetheless it’s super disappointing to see how the mods acted about the whole situation and then tried to do damage control.

Hoping Vrel themself has different views on being a zionist than their mods and esp that one mod that’s known to be shitty to fans lol but my hopes aren’t that high tbh.

I’ll just stick to writing my own stuff cuz Bailey might as well be an OC in my story at this point and I see him detached since he has so little actual source material that isn’t just strewn across random Q&A’s.

Hmm, while I don’t think Bailey is particularly inclined to dance (or likes it) I think he’s capable of doing it for the sole purpose to blend in with higher society (the mansion parties and all that).

But Bailey (in my AU) sort of isn’t the type to listen to much music in general, more so have the radio running in the background but no real preference.
