As someone who doesn’t have an em dash key on her laptop (to be honest I don’t know if any laptops even have these to begin with-) and has just been adding them through her phone, how can I make this process less tedious?

Is there a way for me to map the em dash symbol over an existing key I don’t use on my laptop? Or like is there a keyboard shortcut I don’t know of yet?

If anyone knows the fix to this, please enlighten me!

Does anyone have any good resources on how to learn excel for dummies?

I haven’t worked with Excel since computer class in high school, and my brilliant idea to create a survey for my thesis also means I need to process/analyze the data. The excel file google makes from my (google) survey is a hot mess.

MY macbook just crashed and I hate to restart it, then in the information about the crash it says: Anonymous UUID and it’s a panic report.

I have been googling but can’t figure out what this means. Is something wrong with my harddrive? Is it a kernel panic? If so, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

What do I do? It happened yesterday too, I think, because I closed my laptop to bike home and when I opened it 15 minutes later at home it had shutdown and started up again too.

IT Question:

I have a Toshiba Satellite C55D-B5308 laptop. It only has 4GB of RAM. According to specs it is not user upgradable but has two memory slots with only one slot used. The question is.... Is the memory upgradable? Anyone run into this before?

I wasn't planning on using my tumblr for these ends but I have a technical question. 

I want to completely re-install my macbook pro using the installation discs I got when I bought it. I know there is a key-combination that can be pushed during the boot-up with the installation disc in the tray to erase all the data on the device and get a 100% clean re-install, but I forgot what that combination was. 

If someone can help me that would be very much appreciated.
