             his eyes slowly open,  a low groan emitting his lips as he feels his body ache from the night previous.  nico turns on his side to find the other male next to him, sleeping away.  a soft sigh escapes his lips, turning onto his stomach as he leans his head against the other’s shoulder, waiting for any sign of the other suddenly waking from his slumber.  upon the first sign,  nico lifts his head to gaze upon the other as he opens his eyes.     ‘  oh!  you’re awake!  i’m not sure if you remember but you let me stay last night, you seemed very tired so you could have easily forgotten and i didn’t want to startle you by waking up next to a stranger!  d - did. . .  did you sleep well?  ’

a yawn threatens to push past the male’s lips as he’s nearly bored to death, listening to the other’s proposal. the thing is, he already had everything he needed for this project. but it still didn’t stop the hacker from giving the other some time of the day to actually listen.  ‘   can we just   ––––   what exactly does this contribute that we haven’t already thought of. your way would take a lot more time than originally planned and we don’t really have that.  ’   @jamisvus

                    he’s  always  been  careful   ,   kinam  can’t  afford  not  to  be  in  his  line  of  work    ———    there’s  real  danger  that  comes  with  being  an  investigator  and  digging  yourself  into  places  that  people  normally  wouldn’t   .   that’s  why  ears  are  tuned  to  the  gentle  foot - fall  of  steps  behind  him   ,   leading  current  company  down  a  dark  and  barely  illuminated  street    (    it’s  kinam’s  usual  route  to  get  home   .    )    he’ll  turn  on  his  heel  moments  later  to  face  the  assailant   ,   hues  narrowed  and  mouth  just  peeking  over  the  fabric  of  a  scarf   .     ❛     are  you  trying  to  kill  me   ?     ❜     has  jumped  to  the  ultimate  conclusion   ,   anxiety - ridden  mind  hindering  ability  to  think  rationally   .

he wasn’t even questioning, the little thing at the entrance in soft pajamas looking at red and bruising on a tall figure he oh so much cared for, and oh so much wanted not to see destroying themselves like that every time ━it made his heart ache and eyes so wet, but he knew there was no way the other would be convinced to stop with the underground fights. “ come in, i’ll go pick the first aid kit. ” all he could offer was a sad smile and a soft whisper of his gentle voice, and equally soft pitter patter inviting the other within the dim lights of the apartment.
