Christmas project
Well, I started it the first weekend on my Christmas Holiday time off thing. And now, December 25th, it is kind of done. You can't edit stuff without going to the database, but meh.
So, I wanted somewhere to put fanfics I've read, so that I can find the ones that were good, and not get my hope up for a fic to find out it is not my kind by realising I've read it before and found it lacking.
So.
The solution to my problem for a while was Goodreads, but as I soon realised its not really that good. It's great for books imo, but fanfics, not so much. For a while, I had a Tumblr account for it (it still exists), but well, it's not so flexible really.
I mean, you have one place for tags, and one kind of tags only. Got a bit hard keeping track of stuff and exactly what tags I'd used for something specific and if I had used the tag for some other fandom already and yadayada.
So I started thinking of what information I wanted for each fic. And came up with some stuff.
A bit of a mix from all over the place, the one thing that was hardest was to decide how general tags should work. Like an AU, or trigger warnings like abuse, character death and so on. I never did decide on it, so I just kept the way it turned out automatically 8)
But what I wanted was a listing overall fanfics.
Which I got, so that's a win. I also wanted to be able to filter for some different things like fic status, length, fandom and tags.
Which I also manage. So yey! And then browsing by fandom, tags and author.
Which, as a bonus, also shows how many fics are in that category. So, go me!
Some small addition, like edit an entry, and it would be completely done. But meh, now I just wanna read some new fanfic instead :D
