what are some things said about brandy?

THIS IS SUPER LONG IM SO SORRY BUT OKAY SO: most employees are “scouted” by other employees while they’re shopping there because they “like their look” — they’ll then usually ask for their Instagram & essentially base whether they’re hired on that. ppl who applied on their own said their interviews were only around three minutes & all they asked was what’s their insta feed like & how they’d respond to a costumer asking why their clothing is only one size. once ur hired, most locations tell their employees to dissuade ppl who “don’t fit the brandy vibe” from shopping there, & some employees who’ve gone against that have been told by their managers to “stop being so friendly” to ppl who “don’t fit the brandy vibe,” which provides validity to all the horror stories costumers have put out about the rudeness & coldness of the staff (1 example: a girl being asked “are you gonna buy this?” & responding “..yeah?” & the cashier going “does it even fit?” at the counter when purchasing a t shirt). then the scouting comes in, as workers are told to look out for girls who “fit the brandy vibe” & just ask them if they want to work there. how do they know what the brandy vibe is? they’re directed towards their models, who are all extremely thin & white/light skinned. many of their models are also 14-17 years old & don’t accurately represent an adult woman’s body, who would be the ones working there. many former workers have also stated issues w equal pay based on nothing but attractiveness. they’re also known for stealing designs, & I don’t mean in the way that all mainstream brands rip each other off — they do this lowkey creepy thing where if they like ur outfit they’ll ask to take a pic of u for “research” to see “what ppl are interested in” but will send it to their designers & entirely remake the outfit, & many smaller artists who made t shirts or whatever have had their artwork stolen & slapped on brandy clothes. essentially the hollister/abercrombie 2000’s scandal but a lot more sly. the whole thing is just a mess tbh, & while many fashion brands have a plethora of underlying issues, this is just... so apparent :/
