Oho so your big handsome Mr. Kerbeus?
Beeper trying to intimidate the babies, backfires because Beeper is about as tough as a wet bread. Brahmas in general are very docile and not good at confrontation.
You can tell Kerbeus wanted to scare Beeper away since he puffs up and drops his wings. He gives Beeper plenty of chances to reprimand him or to back down but Beeper cannot read other chickens very well. Beeper is the aggressor in this situation but this is all harmless pecking order spats
What is funny is the domineering behavior Beeper was showing is very similar to how Greenie treats her so i think she was trying to emulate that behavior onto the babies
Kerbeus still is looking like a knock off overly melanized Sebright. Im planning on culling him tomorrow but i might have to go to urgent care so i might not have time for it. He is still unfortunately mean as hell but is still a scrawny cockerel. Unlike his brother i dont think ill get much meat off of him so i might take his feathers for future art and just turn him into soup/stock

Kerbeus
I wish they would all grow as graceful as Pegasus has lol
Kerbeus why are you laced????
There he goes
The head shake is a clue in that this isnt flirtatious biting from a young cockerel but that its defensive because im in his space. I breed birds that kids and other vurnerable people will handle so i need birds who are calm and docile with people. Kerbeus has also been going for my hands while im changing out the food and waterers and since he already had signs of aggression as a smaller chick before his hormones came in it just is yet another strike. Unlike his brother Behemoth where after his first spat with his brother he has mellowed out into a nice calm and docile boy like his father.
I still really like little Kerbeus of course but i do eat chicken and i do raise these guys to provide me meat every now and again so such is the circle of life.
