       Self-control had never been Anne’s strong suit. @klren​  :   Does Hawke like to read? Does he read any of Varric’s books?

I don’t know if it’ll shock anyone, but: yes. He actually does. The problem that he faces is finding the time for it. As you can imagine, he doesn’t get many chances to just sit down. As for Varric’s books? Also yes. While Garrett is in hiding, during that time between DA2 and Inquisition, he finally found the time to read ALL of Varric’s books. He has to support his best friend. He has to. In general, though, his favorite thing to read is anything where he’s gaining knowledge and not just taking in words.

The only source of knowledge Serene has on Tevinter is what she has heard among her travels, so her opinion is near non-existent. She has always been a woman to never truly pass judgement without enough evidence, and this carries through to Tevinter. If questioned on the nation or it’s people, Serene will state that she holds no true opinion but is rather skeptical.
