We were just having a late night dinner in Boni when Jake asked me if I want to go to Pampanga for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. I was hesitant at first since I need to finish a lot of things at work but who doesn't want adventure, right? We left Manila around 3 o'clock in the morning and arrived at the venue just right in time to witness the sunrise. The place is very crowded yet very relaxing. We walked around to check out the place and we found a very good spot enough to see all the hot air balloons fly. Then, we decided to leave early so we can still roam around but we ended up riding a van going to Bataan and explore. One of our friends suggested to visit Sisiman Bay because according to him, its a very chill place to hang out. We're glad we listened to our friend because upon seeing the rock formations and pebbles that are spread out along its clear blue beach, I fell inlove with it. Though its not your usual destination – smacked right in between large-scale factories and powerplants. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the sunset by the bay while having few bottles of beer. We left around 5 o'clock in the afternoon and looked for a place to eat. We're craving for rice but we can't find any carinderias, good thing we found a store who sell sandwiches, the owner is so generous and kind she gave us rice instead of eating hotdog in a bun. Hahahaha! After we ate we decided to go home. It was indeed a happy day. Away from the toxic Manila, somehow we're able to chill and recharge our mind and soul. Naks! Thank you also, Jake. For being my partner in crime. To more adventures like this! February 12, 2018; Pampanga-Bataan getaway
