idk if they do this where you are cause i've mostly seen it as a mexican stereotype but speaking of spanish why do people say arriba as a term of excitement when i've been told it literally translates to "up" i'm so confused

yeah thats mostly a mexican thing. its actually more of a term of cheering and encouragement, like "arriba mexico" means "go mexico", which is basically the same as "viva mexico" or "vamos mexico" ("viva", "vamos" and "arriba" all have different meanings but those three phrases are basically the same thing and ive seen people use them interchangeably, especially "arriba mexico" and "viva mexico")

the literal translation of "arriba" is "up", but i dont see how thats confusing? think of "keep it up". its also a term of encouragement that involves being and staying "above" yknow? the meaning is slightly different but theyre similar in that sense, and i guess thats where "arriba" as a term of encouragement comes from.

macs are better than windows 8 if you get a new laptop and they function better with a lot of programs in gene ral

yea  h h my work computer thing is windows 8 I agree w/ you there but my mom said windows 8.1 is a little better than windows 8 for me but I duno I might just "fuck you warrenty" and get a windows 8 and apply windows 7 to it 8'(
