Ba Sing Se AU where Suki has to arrest some vagabond making trouble on the ferry and while what he does was technically illegal, he was just trying to steal some food for some hungry kids and fight a few assholes getting too rough with the other passengers so she develops a soft spot for him and when he asks her to show him how to be better, she accepts. The two go out for a bit, Suki learning that the law sometimes isn’t always right and the boy learning that you don’t always have to hurt someone to help someone else. They're happy...until the war calls and both have to go their separate ways and Suki tries to move on and be grateful it was good while it lasted.
Anyway, Zuko, Sokka, and Suki are recounting their days in Ba Sing Se and she brings it up and that’s how they find out that all of them had dated Jet.
