When I have nowhere to turn to, when I feel like praying is not really helping (I know I'm not the most religious person), and sometimes doing nothing seems to be a very bad idea, maybe painting or writing can almost certainly be the first thing comes to mind. Of course there's probably more times that I can't hold up my brushes than when I could actually paint, but the sensation when my wet brush touch the paper and when the white surface transformed into colourful shape or landscape, that's when I could always remind myself, no matter how messed up I was, one step forward is a step achieved.
