Her Majesty the Queen of Fandolin Has Died

A notice was posted in front of the palace gates early this morning:

It’s with the greatest sadness and devastation that the royal family has asked that the following announcement be made to the people of Fandolin.

At the late hour of 11:30 pm, in the Crown Suite of Fandolin Memorial Hospital, Her Majesty, Queen Agatha the Fourth, Protector of the Realm Queen Regnant of the Kingdom of Fandolin and Surrounding Territories, passed away peacefully in her sleep. 

The royal family is grateful to the people of Fandolin for their support and requests privacy during this incredibly difficult time. 

We, with all of Fandolin, are devastated and heartbroken, and will be anxiously awaiting word from the palace. Palace officials tell us that HRH Princess Lucy will be addressing the people very shortly to clear up some questions about the war in the Simtinent, and with an important announcement for the people.

Her Majesty will be honored in a private funeral for the family. Rest in peace, your Majesty, you will be deeply missed.

Duke and Duchess at Castle Ruins

This morning, the Duke and Duchess of Windslar met with Candy Behr at the King Helga Lockmere Palace on the Crumbling Isle as part of HRH’s Historical preservation efforts. 

King Helga was a powerful ruler and the only daughter of King Nathaniel Lockmere II. She took her father’s throne in the late 14th century after he was brutally murdered by his brother, who was arrested, jailed, and eventually executed. She made the very controversial choice to keep the title of King and ended up being one of the Kingdom of Fandolin’s most notable rulers. She married one year after her coronation but shortly thereafter found herself a widow after her husband tragically fell ill and died. They had one son together, Marcus Nathaniel Lockmere, whose son, Daniel, would ultimately become the next king of Fandolin. King Helga chose never to remarry, instead focusing on her kingdom and her people. After a long, prosperous reign, King Helga the Great, as she became known, died of old age at 83 in the Palace that her grandfather had built. The Palace itself finally fell in 1825 during the War of the Flowers between the Kingdom of Fandolin and the Shang-Simla Empire. 

The Duke has stated on numerous occasions that he is often greatly inspired by the incredible King Helga and hopes “to one day be half the man she was”. Part of HRH’s efforts at the castle is to excavate and preserve as many artifacts as possible from the King’s reign before they ultimately begin attempts to rebuild the Palace and return it to its original glory.

HRH is joined by his wife, Duchess Erika, who is positively glowing in a flowy pink top and a black pencil skirt. She seems to really be warming up to motherhood, keeping a protective hand on her growing belly. We have to say, it’s a good look for the Duchess, and we can’t wait for the baby to be born!

The First Royal and Honored Guests Begin to Arrive (Part 1)

And here we go, the very first guests are arriving, and they all look as excited as we are!

First we have Mr. Alex Chin, very close personal friend of the bride, accompanied by his girlfriend, Miss Bethany Albright, daughter of Prime Minister Percival Albright.

Mr. Chin and Miss Albright are directly followed by her parents, Prime Minister Percival Albright and Meredith Albright, his wife. After them are Sulani Prince and Princess Royal Andre and Emma Kamealoha. Closely behind them are the Duke and Duchess of Cavalier Cove, Annabelle and Henry Fingleton. The duchess is in the third trimester of her pregnancy with twins and is attending the wedding as her last official public engagement before the birth. 

Finally, we have the wedding planner himself, Mr. Izzy Fabulous, and the designer of the entire bridal party’s attire, Ms. Katya Lunsford of Lunsford Studios 

More guests are on the way, so don’t go anywhere!

Her Majesty and the Duchess of Windslar were seen earlier having an early lunch at one of Fandolin’s premier restaurants, Beret. The two were seen laughing and carrying on like old friends for some time after they finished their food before they left, flanked by Her Majesty’s personal security detail.

Here Comes the Bride!

She’s here! The bride is here and she looks absolutely radiant in her custom Lunsford gown and veil. Her tiara is the Fandolin Halo, loaned to her by Her Majesty. It was given to Queen Agatha as a welcome gift by the Emperor and Empress of Shang Simla. 

As Ms. Reynolds steps out of the car, the bridesmaids, Princesses Bella and Lucy come to her aid and help her with some last minute adjustments before they go in and start the ceremony. Satisfied with their work and ready to get married, the princesses and Ms. Reynolds smile and wave at the cheering crowds.

It’s Time For a Wedding!

The air is warm and clear in Windenburg this morning, with a gentle breeze blowing petals from the freshly blooming cherry blossom trees around town. A perfect day for a royal wedding!

It seems that the entire town of Windenburg has come out to Fandolin Cathedral to wish the happy couple well on this joyous day. The front courtyard of the famous church has been packed to capacity behind the police barricades since the early morning hours, with royal fans watching and documenting the comings and goings of caterers, decorators, and other staff on Simstagram, TokTik, and Simspace.

The day is set to begin shortly, beginning with the arrivals, first of the royal and honored wedding guests, followed by the wedding party and the royal family. Once everyone is inside, the wedding ceremony will commence. After much deliberation the family and Mr. Izzy Fabulous, along with the Pastor of Fandolin Cathedral, opted to close the ceremony to the public and press, wanting to keep the things not only intimate, but also secure. The Palace has promised, however, that the wedding photographer will be sharing some exclusive images of the ceremony for our publication shortly after the honeymoon. 

Once the ceremony has ended, the newlyweds and the royal family will adjourn to Lockmere Palace where they will first appear on the balcony so that Her Majesty can officially announce their new married titles and then they will change and leave for a private reception. 

HRH and Ms. Reynolds will leave for their honeymoon for one week in the beautiful country of Sulani immediately following the reception.

The Bridal Party is Here!

Led by the bridesmaids, Princesses Lucy and Bella Lockmere, are the flower girls and the ring-bearer, the three youngest children of the Bjergsens, Selina (10), and the twins, Colton and Kierra both 2, accompanied by Duke and Duchess of Cavalier Cove’s daughter Eva (11). 

All of the attire for the bridal party was designed by Katya Lunsford, thin princesses in simple, light blue gowns and the children all in white with blue accents, and they all look absolutely stunning! All the little ones appear to be on their best behavior for the wedding.
