I didn’t read your magi story because it’s not my thing, but I love seeing when you post something in the holtzbert tag. It’s sad to see the holtzbert tag slowing down. I keep wishing I was better at art so I could draw stuff. I write fics too. Idk if it’s just the fandom vibe rn or what but it’s so hard to keep going with fics for me. I’ll write a couple of pages and then have no more inspiration for the story.

Hey, no worries about not reading Magi. It’s not a story for everyone, but I agree that the vibe has changed a lot. Might just be a lull or it might be the inevitable slide into dormancy. Small fandoms have a tendency to do that, and I feel the same things you are. I think it’s, for lack of a better explanation, lack of attention. When there’s little to no feedback despite there being visible hits to a story you just get tired of creating, and that drag on your inspiration to create. I hate how fandoms have stopped talking to their content creators. It’s a greedy mindset. You consume something for free that took someone ages to craft without a single word and then expect them to keep pumping out more and more work without any ounce of thanks. I see this with fanart too. Likes mean shit here on tumblr. Reblogs are how things circulate, but that’s not happening and it’s becoming taxing. Same with AO3. Kudos mean shit. Thank your writers for taking the time to create something you enjoyed. It’s not a hard concept.

Headcanon that holtz sometimes has really bad sensory overload and the first time erin walks in on her sitting on the floor crying it's because her wire strippers don't feel quite right in her hand. Erin gets really worried and don't know how to help so she just sits down next to her and gently takes them from holtz and cautiously pats her back until holtz practically launches herself into her arms.
