Just some quick crappy pen sketches I did of my mermaid character and I wanted to give my manetip pens another try and.... They work fine in the beginning but then act like it's running low on ink. And I used computer paper this time to. However they seem to work fine if you use them in a pointillism style but other then that I they keep acting like I'm running low on ink. I don't know if anyone else who ordered these pens are having the same problem as I am or I just got a bad Set of ink (or if it's just me). Been watching the new season of samurai jack and poor Jack (#thefeels) just quickly drew this right after I saw this weeks episode. The woman in this is just an OC of mine and she comforting poor Jack. And I was able to use my magnetips pens for this and my honest thoughts using them for the first time.... Well I think my reds were acting like it was running out of ink even though this is the first time during them. I check my other pens and they seem to be ok though the brown for some reason looks more Burgundy/maroon then a brown. I don't know if it was because I waited to long to use them or the texture of the paper or that I was drawing it over pencil BUT!! I'm going to keep using them to see how they are in the long run. Aside from that though enjoy my quick drawing ^^*

With magnets adhered on pens, MAGNETIPS™ has successfully transformed it into an interesting tool that is able to create infinite fun, without losing the caps of your lovely pens. We’ve talked to the founder of MAGNETIPS™, Noam, about his ingenious design:
What inspired you to design MAGNETIPS™ when there are actually so many choices of pens in the market?
We felt that there is a place for a long lasting object, something that we wouldn't just rush to throw away when done colouring. An object that can be refilled and re-used, and provided value even when not used for colouring.
What do you think is the best part of MAGNETIPS™?
The fact that a set of pens now has a personality - a life of it’s own. The pens become valuable and hold their appeal longer. That is what’s needed of objects in today’s disposable culture.
What is a good design to you?
A good design is a design that brings smile and added value to people’s life. Something that is useful and cherish-able.
Did you encounter any obstacles when you have to take quality, design (appearance) and practicality into account all at once?
We had to take many safety concerns into account as our pens contain powerful magnets. The final design is affected by these requirements, but we used the restrictions to help us determine our proportions and design guidelines in a positive way.
In what ways do you want to inspire or bring new elements to your users’ lives through this special design of a tool that we often use in our daily lives?
I hope that by extending the use of a normal pen, the product can be used for longer time and in different configuration. This is to me the true aspect of sustainability - an object that adds value in more ways than one and is long lasting.
