Spent the weekend in the field in a small national park (Burgenland, Austria) and saw all kinds of awesome critters! Among them a huge group of male stag beetles (Lucanus cervus) on an oak tree, getting all macho with each other. Also, my very first Mantispa styriaca - they look like someone made them up while very high! And these gorgeous caterpillars of the swallowtail butterfly (Papilio machaon)! They are so pretty!
