Having not seen her during leave, Shane took it upon himself - as if it were his duty as her friend - to stop by the med tent first thing to check in on her. If only to bother her about what she’d done with her time instead of spending it in New York with most of them. It was something of a regular occurrence between them, showing up to pester the other. Though it wasn’t really much of a bother since they were friends after all. “Did you even actually take a break this time, Doc? Or were you fabricating medical issues to stay entertained with?” The first sergeant teased when he’d found her. She was always keeping busy, just like the rest of them. They all needed their distractions and things to stay sane out there.
