ooohhhh, what's master krell, angstpril day 30 continuation, and the gift horse wips?
herhi anon and thanks for the ask!
Master Krell
I’ve published the first chapter of Master Krell here, but basically it’s an au in which Pong Krell becomes Anakin’s Master after TPM, instead of Obi-wan. And it is. . . not fun for Anakin. At all :(
here’s a little bit of umbara (which is far, far down the road) in this au:
"Or," Rex hisses pointedly, "we could just tell them the truth. You know, that the bastard was working for Dooku all along and tried to have us killed?"
Anakin looks away and sighs. "Master Krell is—was highly respected. It'd be his memory against my words—they have no reason to believe me. You'll just end up in trouble. S'not worth it."
Angstpril Day 30 Continuation
This is a (hopefully) multichapter au I’m still in the process of brainstorming/outlining for - one where Palpatine doesn’t reveal himself as the Sith Lord and sends Anakin to capture the Separatists on Mustafar, and executes Order 66 while he’s away. In the meantime, Padme, Obi-wan, and baby Luke (who meets up with her after Order 66) barely escape being captured/killed, but baby Leia does not.
So we end up with a situation where Padme is raising Luke and helping the fledgling rebellion, under the impression that Anakin and Leia are dead, and Anakin is raising Leia still firmly under the thumb of the Empire, under the impression that Padme and Obi-wan are dead (and completely unaware of Luke’s existence).
here’s a snippet from a little later down the line:
"Ah," Palpatine says, looking down at her with a smile. "Young Leia! My, how you've grown. When I first met you, you were smaller than a baby Tooka, did you know that?"
Leia smiles somewhat bashfully and leans closer into her father's robes. Father reaches down and ruffles her hair. She can see why he likes the Emperor so much; the man is awfully. . . jovial, for sure.
"Smaller, I think," Father says, smiling tightly. He seems sort of uncomfortable all of a sudden; she can't fathom why. He's said himself that the Emperor was practically a father to him, after all.
Gift Horse
Gift Horse is an au in which Anakin more or less gets into the Archives and figures out the dreams of Padme’s death through records of previous Force Sensitives who have had prophetic dreams - which means that he’s a lot less on edge during the events of ROTS, and, when Palpatine tries to put him on the Council, he’s like “Hang on, what now?”
here’s a snippet from early on:
"Yes," he says instead of voicing his thoughts. He drags his gaze away from her and towards the skyline.
"It's really bothering you," Padme says, stepping up next to him and putting a hand on his shoulder, "isn't it."
"Of course it is. The last time I had one of these, my mother died."
He regrets the words as soon as they leave his mouth. Neither of them needed that reminder.

master krell for the wips. I don't wish him as a master to anyone :/
unfortunately, in this au, he becomes a master to anakin :(
I talked a bit about this already here, and I have a couple snippets up in stars burn out, so I’ll talk a bit more about random things in this au!
obviously krell is. uh. a harsh master for anakin, in more ways than one. he’s not a very good person and really only views anakin as a status boost/means to an end, which makes things. . . rough. so anakin grows up in the temple really very isolated and tbh--his first real friend is rex. however, he’s also much more distrustful of the Chancellor because of his circumstances, so that’s one thing.
the war starts same as in canon, and although he does meet padme once or twice, he doesn’t actually end up on guard duty for her. that goes to another jedi. across the temple, obi-wan eventually decides to get a padawan of his own and picks ahsoka. anakin still ends up knighted and becomes the general of the 501st, and things start to look up for him, a lot.
then umbara happens, krell ends up dead, and things really look up for him xD
(ask me about my wips!)
heyy <33 master krell for the wip game please and thank you!!!
master krell!! aka a very straightforward “krell becomes anakin’s master instead” and, as expected, things are :(((
I’ve written a couple of snippets for this already in my au collection stars burn out, but here’s the introductory one:
Krell leans back in his Council seat. “Please,” he scoffs. This is getting ridiculous. “Fine. Say we consider accepting the. . . boy. We can’t seriously be considering leaving his training to Kenobi of all people.”
Shaak Ti looks up in mild surprise. “And what, exactly, is wrong with Knight Kenobi, Master Krell?”
“He’s in no state to train the Chosen One, let alone any padawan; he’ll give in to the boy’s every whim. Cater to him beyond belief. Skywalker will never learn to be a proper Jedi under Kenobi’s tutelage.”
Master Gallia opens her mouth to respond, but Yoda beats her to it. “Offering to train the boy, are you, Master Krell?”
Krell twists his mouth into a scowl, folds his arms behind his back, and considers. The boy seems sloppy and ill-mannered, yes, and disgustingly defiant, but only a fool would deny his evident power. Skywalker’s Chosen One status may just be the one thing Qui-gon ever got right in his life.
He imagines it now, the Chosen One under his tutelage. Molding that low born brat into the perfect Jedi, the perfect student. The eyes of every Master and every Padawan in the Temple tracking his steps.
“The boy will need a firm hand,” he says at last, “and I believe that I will be equipped to provide it.”
There are some glances exchanged throughout the room. Masters Ti and Windu, in particular, seem unhappy with his suggestions. But they know he’s right. Kenobi will hardly be able to keep up with the boy, let alone train him properly. And he himself is an accomplished Master. There’s no need to give the task to anyone else.
“Very well,” Windu says at last, a slight frown on his face, “We’ll inform Kenobi shortly.”
Pong Krell lowk clone racist. Clonecist?
