Matilde Viegas captures unique and honest relationship between children
Portuguese photographer Matilde Viegas documents children at a social housing project in the outskirts of Porto with her A Family of One’s Own project. She enjoys building meaningful connection between subjects and environment and extract contexts. Matilde Viegas based in Porto, Portugal and spend time with a social housing project in the outskirts of Porto. And "A Family of One’s Own" series born from those people's experiences. It is an after school social programme for children between ages 6 to 12. This type of social community also creates great bonding between individuals at the early age. Because this also allows children to grow and explore the life in their own way at those allocated times. "A Family of One’s Own" photography series arranged by the charity organization Cercar-te as an after-school gathering, this provides a sanctuary for these young girls to connect and share, embracing their vulnerability. And this humble and honest came into life by the invitation of photography organization Ci.CLO.
