I'm starting a rumor about McKay and Park the Shark mainly because because i LOVE a rarepair and i know McKay is not even a little nervous around a man who wears hair gel, but also because i want someone to write about McKay's useless ex fucking around and finding out why they call him The Shark

Some Park the Shark headcannons to flesh him out a little and because i'm having too much fun writing them:

Early 40s, Sagittarius

Protein warrior

Third generation surgeon, his father, the og Dr. Park is a renown (and recently retired) cardiothoracic surgeon, constantly on his ass for choosing ortho (it's been like 15 years man just let it go)

He has an older sister who's also a surgeon, she does neurosurgery and it's pretty damn good, calls him weekly to bitch about their dad, their mom, their jobs and her husband (who is, you guessed it! also a surgeon) and bullies him mercilessly

He spoils his nieces like crazy, we're talking Disneyland Paris trips just because and designer handbags when they get good grades, his sister has been asking him to stop for years but he still bought a brand new Range Rover for his eldest niece's sweet 16 ("angel" vanity plate and everything)

His eldest niece is basically his first born, he has a tattoo of her name and date of birth, her name is Amelia Grace btw, and she WILL correct you if you call her just Amelia, she has an extension of Park's credit card and calls him to solve any minor inconvenience she encounters (as she should)

His scrub cap has sharks in it

He has a douchbagey Shark tattoo, loves the nickname, embraces it completely 

He also drives a douchey McLaren and a douchey Escalade and it's an absolute menace behind the wheel, speed limits are suggestions that only peasants who don't have the skill to save limbs have to follow

He operates with frat bro music, 2010s David Ghetta? Triple platinum in his OR, his anesthesiologist was his frat brother too btw

Has a Pitbull named Nellie that is trained to the nines, he's got a bit of a soft spot for her tho, and lets her sleep in the bed

Plays golf with the higher ups and brings Shen for entertainment purposes

Wears Creed Aventus (i know, i know)

Only follows Hockey, Formula 1 and Basketball

Says that he doesn't believe in horoscopes, but his niece sends him his daily and he reads it and he will never admit it, but he does act accordingly

His type is the super polished corporate ice queen socialite (until he met Dr. Cassie McKay...)

The McShark (that's what im calling them for now) worms have taken over my brain and since im in no shape or form a writer i decided to dump my muse into some headcannons just because i can:

She calls him 'Bren' usually, and Jaws when she's trying to annoy him

He calls her exclusively 'Cassandra', McKay pretends to hate it but she actually loves it, makes her feel like she's living one of those freaky regency era novels

He's surprisingly great with Harrison, not in like a "bonus daddy" or a "i want to be your friend" way but he speaks to him like he's an adult without forgetting he's a kid, and includes him in stuff without having to be asked

And speaking about Bonus Daddies, he gets gifted a t-shirt and decides to wear it to pick up once bc he's an asshole

When they met he tried to do his intimidating stare thing and she's absolutely immune, not even a little fased, just looks at him with a raised eyebrow and continues presenting the patient, he's IMMEDIATELY enchanted

He beats the lights out of Chad once, during pick up at McKay's house, Park usually stands in the sidelines when it comes to Harrison and the ex because he knows she's a badass and can handle anything, but after they start arguing and Chad delivers few low blows related to McKay's sobriety and parenting skills suddenly Park isn't feeling so diplomatic

His sister told him he had to be sweeter to McKay or she was going to dump him and when he tried to baby her it freaked her out so much she almost dragged him to the ER to make Robby run tests on him

Park, like any surgeon, is ALLERGIC to apologizing, he will never admit out loud that he was wrong, he just buys something really expensive for McKay when he fucks up, at first it's jewelry like his father (also a surgeon) used to buy for his mom (the Parks have a family jeweler) but Cassie isn't a tennis bracelet or emerald earrings gal, so he switches up to weekend trips, leather jackets, shoes and other oddities

In that same spirit, after beating up his dad in front of him, he buys Harrison season tickets for the Penguins

Mr. McKay LOVES Park, he think he's the funniest mf in the world, nobody else understands what's so funny

Javadi cornered Park in the staircase and gave him the shovel talk while standing three steps above him to be able to look him in the eye

McKay thinks the whole shark thing is hilarious and when the med students and baby nurses ask her about the nickname she just makes up unhinged stories about it

McKay and her dad are huge horror fans (*wink wink*) so for their third date she took him to watch a horror movie and proceeded to spend the whole time watching him jump and then pretend he wasn't scared at all

His intolerance to incompetence took him to go full shark at a PTA meeting in Harrison's school, donated all the money they needed for the soccer field repairs just so Olive's mom stopped harassing McKay to be more active at school activities (some of us have full time jobs and can't be at every bake sale Sharon!)

MORE MCSHARK because this two have consumed me body and soul, i'm obsessed and begging someone to write about this please, i'm about to learn how to edit just so I can edit them together, anyway, McShark Headcannons part 2

He's an obsessive motherfucker, social media stalking, going down to the ER even when someone else could have gone, made his ortho residents ask around about her, he has it BAD

He heard the story about the drilled ankle monitor and had heart palpitations (is this what love feels like?)

Bought McKay a BOULDER of an engagement ring, and then bought her a smaller ring for work when he found out she was taking it off because it kept ripping the nitrile gloves

Gave her a key to his condo at like two weeks of dating

Likes to fold her, twist her, turn her, throw her around

He also likes to talk her through it but in a very clinical way but also with a bedroom voice? It freaked her out at first but now she's very much into it

The Shark is also very much a biter, McKay now has to put concealer on hickeys and bite marks like she's back in high school

Park has a more intensive skincare routine than McKay

On his bachelor party he got PLASTERED and got the name 'Cassandra' tattooed on the chest

They're both the Brat and the Brat tamer, is confusing but also hot

Brendon Park is first and foremost, a Solver, he may not be talking to McKay in a baby voice and going all softie with her, but she hasn't lived with a problem for more than two days since they started dating, asshole landlord? He had a...stern talk with him, car making a weird noise? Park already took it to the mechanics in his lunch break, her parents roof is leaking? He knows the best guy in town and he owes him a favor

The Shark does eat out during shark week

Park discovered early on that he is in fact into the whole Stacy's mom, soccer milf thing that Cassie has going on, he trembles at the sight of her screaming at the dad of the rival team's forward

Minivan sex? Count him in

Mrs. Parker wasn't so sure on Cassie, she's an old school surgeon's wife (that's where Shark gets his bitchiness from) and always thought that her son would settle down with some high pedigree socialite, but Park was pretty quick to establish that they were going to be absolutely delightful to Cassandra and Harrison or he was going to cut them off, and Mrs. Parker is first and foremost, a boy mom, so she couldn't let that happen

Mr. Parker on the other hand? Thrilled, after two broken up engagements his son finally settles down? With a competent woman? And yes he has granddaughters who he adores but like any other old school douchebag he always wanted a grandson, specially now that he's retired and sees all the other old farts at the country club playing golf with their grandsons, and now suddenly he has one and he doesn't even have to wait for him to grow up? Jackpot

One night Cassie arrives home to find him on her couch, reading from her kindle, her soul left. her. body. "don't look so frightened yet Cassandra, i got a few ideas from this and i want to try them out"

They're laying in bed once when he tells her he kinda misses the red hair, "what do you mean? I already had brown hair when we met" he doesn't elaborate

McKay can't believe she went from being married to a guy who needs help moving a couch to being with a man who can lift her with a single hand, life is so worth living

Harrison calls Nellie (see the Park the Shark headcannons) his step sister, they have evolved from playmates to overnight sleepovers at McKay's parents house

i dont like straight ships but the idea of park knocking cassie up and being SO protective of her is so hot

I'm very picky usually about my straight ships too, but it seems like i've received the gift of the hetslop prophecy, and also:

He 100% knocks her up, they 100% are genuinely shocked even tho they've been playing fast and loose with contraceptives the whole time, and he 100% becomes a neanderthal about the whole thing, he almost beats up Langdon right there in the middle of the ER for accidentally bumping into her belly for half a second (and they 100% have a girl)

He faints, the Shark honest to god faints, he knows the karma for how much of a player he has been is coming hard and fast, then he bribes McKay with letting her choose the name all by herself if she shuts up about his fainting
