I tried an Asian Beauty Skincare inspired routine for 30 days!
Hello beauties! I am a target beauty concierge and I love sharing new things I learn in my routine to help you make the right choices in yours!
I finally hopped on the k-beauty regimen train! Though not everything I use is a k-beauty product, I have implemented a little of everything I have gotten in gratis and at the beautifulU events in my routine!
The K-beauty routine is typically a 10-step regimen, but with the idea that you take a few of the steps (exfoliating and masks) and do them two times a week!
Let's start with my daily routine!
In my routine, I first like to remove the dirt and makeup (if I'm wearing any) from the daily grind; for this I usually reach for the yesto cucumbers micellar water, it has a pleasant scent, and removes all of my makeup! If I need anything extra (like if I am wearing a full face of makeup) I will reach for the pixi cleansing oil! And that usually gets the job done! It's moisturizing and gets all of my mascara and lipstick off (I favor the full throttle lip stick by nyx, so it's not that easy to remove!)
Next I use a cleanser, l like to recommend and use foaming cleansers! Foaming cleansers are magic! In the past, I have used the clear complexion cleanser, but I also love the
Neutrogena hydro boost cleanser! I love foaming/water based cleansers because they cut any dirt and oil that may have accumulated while you slept or what would have been left over from your makeup and/or dirt removing cleanser!
After this step, I tone! I love toning with the Pixi Glow Tonic toner because with this, you get everything you need! It moisturizes and gently exfoliates! The aloe and the ginseng are a great pair with the glycolic acid for any type of skin type!
Then it's time for the essence! In our aisles, at target we have so many serums and light essences to choose from! It can be the rose water by S.W. Basics (I have used this) and it also can be the Retinol and Vitamin C serum we get in gratis by MD complete! I have started using the Retinol Vit. C serum because it's thin enough and lightly exfoliates the top of my skin perfectly for my serum and moisturizer to do its work!
For serum, it wasn't a hard choice for me when I chose the Idealia by Vichy! Dubbed the "skin hangover" treatment, it delivers a great radiance and fights free radicals like no other! I put this on and my skin is literally glowing! I couldn't be happier! This fights against environmental and natural stressors to the skin! And I know I could use a little of that!
Then last, I have used the Missha snail renewal cream. I chose to use this regularly not only because of the water-gel like texture, but because I was curious about "snail slime". The benefit to this is, 1) I don't need to have sails crawl on my face and 2) snail slime has enzymes and proteins the are so close to our natural skin proteins that it helps the skins natural production.
Then in the morning, I use the pixi sun mist because it's a great way to apply sunscreen and put on before your makeup quickly or just spray and go. Depending on your ease in routine. The pixi sun mist is great because it's chamomile extract is an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial! Bamboo extract helps with signs of premature aging!
I have used this routine for a solid two weeks and I am so happy and proud of how glowy and bouncy my skin has been! Thank you for reading! Let me know if you try any of these products or the routine and let me know what you think!
