My random thoughts about fandom differences in here vs cookie run fandom on twitter, I'll put a read more because it ended up being quite long :b
Hmm I think interacting with people on tumblr is much more stress free than it is on twitter, there are just some very confusing things over there that I'm not used to. Actually I don't know is this a tumblr vs twitter thing or a life series fandom vs cookie run fandom thing because I do have mainly been in different fandoms in here and there. What confuses me the most is people having big dni lists on their profiles. I'm not sure have I ever seen one in here but pretty much everyone seems to have one in twitter. And they are so very nonsensical in my opinion (or have nonsensical parts, of course often they are quite understandable but sometimes people add weird things to their dni lists and that's what I'm talking about in here). Lot of people firstly just write there "dni weird people/proshippers" huh??????? That can mean anything what do you mean weird people. I also don't think these people know the actual meaning of the word proshipper and just use it to mean people who draw/write/idk stuff about ships they find uncomfortable. (Maybe weird people means this too??) I would hope and assume I don't count as a weird person but how can I ever be sure when the word is so vague!
Another thing people add to their dni lists what I've seen a lot is fans of characters or ships they don't like. That one I also find bit odd. It is more reasonable in mcyt spaces because if you would put on your blog "dni if you are big fan of W. Soot" or something like that it is very understandable because he is a real person who has hurt people and somehow manages to keep a fanbase. Not wanting fans of bad people following you is very normal I would think but I don't really understand why this happens in cookie run fandom, they are fictional characters, fans of the character aren't supporting any actual bad behaviour. If I find a character or a ship annoying or maybe I really like some specific ship and don't want to see the characters in it portrayed in other ships I just mute the related tags, but I don't have problems with the fans of those things and I don't really care if I would interact with a fan of something I personally don't like. People putting characters and ships in their dni is like one of the top reasons I end up blocking people on twitter, which I would assume to be the right thing to do. (But also most of the time it's about characters and ships I myself don't even post about and have no intention to post about, I just see the dni list and think oh yeah that sounds like a fun ship I would be cool with, and then block the person)
I have noticed another odd thing and that is that people talk publicly about being blocked by other people in the fandom. Daily I will see people on my timeline posting a screenshot showing that they've been blocked by someone and then write something about not being sure why it has happened. ???????? Why is it normal at the same time to ask people to not interact with you if they like specific things and also normal to find it confusing when people block you. I don't get it at all
