Stop agonizing. Get the strategy straightened and the marketing materials made.
Friend of Picture More Business Jean Tang of Marketsmiths has an article on Forbes.com’s Entrepreneurs blog today describing how Pia Silva of Worstofall Design (also a friend of Picture More Business) identified two pain points their clients were facing and then pivoted their business model towards solving. The second of these pain points is one generated by the traditional marketing model:
...businesses of all sizes tend to agonize over their marketing assets. The process of choosing a logo and building a website—or of picking an agency—can take months or even years. Momentum often takes a nosedive, and analysis paralysis sets in—creating a drag on core competencies and a general waste of time.
Smaller firms in particular, though also large firms who are experimenting with microsites (think of Guy Alvarez’s prediction that microsites will become a key thought leadership platform in 2016), would do well to find partners able to help them move quickly, iterate and improve. Stop agonizing. Get the strategy straightened and the marketing materials made.
