This fic is one I read early on in my Han/Leia fanfic reading, and which continues to inspire me. Its author was one of my earliest cheerleaders as I started to post my own stories, and I’m so grateful for that as well.

Who? Are? You?
Okay friends. I have been slowly going through Mighty Things and editing/rewriting and re-uploading the earliest chapters to make them better. Because, my god, I started posting that story a decade ago and there are some things in it that makes my skin crawl now as a more experienced writer.
Anyway, someone asked me to write the scene in which Han resigns his commission as an outtake and, instead, I snuck it into the end of chapter four, which I just re-uploaded. It’s a scene that desperately needed to be in there, and I have no idea why I never wrote it. *headdesk*
The problem is that I have forgotten who asked for that scene and I wanted to let them know that it was up! Chapters 1-4 are all edited, with new content and whatnot, posted and available to read. So @organanation, @jennycbs, @lajulie24, @graciecatfamilyband, @loveth1s ... I think I’ve narrowed it down to one of you. Which one of you asked for it? It’s driving me crazy not to know! I wouldn’t normally post about this, because I don’t like calling attention to the edits, but I specifically wrote this scene for one of you and I ... failed .... in remembering who it was for.
If you haven’t read Mighty Things yet or are waiting for a reread, I would suggest you hold off until the rewrites are done, because as of now you’ll get to chapter five and it’ll 1) jump a section, because I chopped up ch. 4 and plan on including what was at the end of 4 into the beginning of 5, and 2) it’ll feel like I’ve suddenly digressed back into 22 year old me. It’s up to you, but that’s my suggestion. :D
Six Sentence Sunday
From the last chapter of Mighty Things:
“Leia, this is insanity: come back to the hall.”
Leia paused and turned slowly to face Mon Mothma. The lines on her former mentor’s face were etched deep into her skin, her eyes were tired and hollow. Leia swallowed, took Han’s hand in hers, and lifted her chin high.
“I hereby resign as a member of the Provisional Council,” Leia said, strong and without reservation. “If you need me, you can contact the NRI.”
What am I working on?
What am I currently working on? Well, anon who I can’t answer for some ungodly reason, I’m working on chapter 26 of Mighty Things. Here’s an early passage for your Wednesday enjoyment. Thanks for asking!
“And Luke goes into this whole explanation of what you guys were up to on Sluis Van,” Lando said. “Kidnapped and spying and all sorts of adventures. Very dashing.”
“I wasn’t kidnapped,” Han said, defensive. “I got - “
“He was kidnapped,” Leia interrupted. Han threw her a wounded look, but she ignored him and continued. “Luke told you to check with Chewie?”
Lando’s voice was amused, but he smoothly picked up the thread of conversation. “And the Wook complained about some Sluissi hogging all his equipment and told me to get my ass on the comm with Cracken.”
Han caught Leia’s small head shake out of his peripheral vision; he was still staring at the canopy. “I wonder how Cracken knew we were in trouble,” she said.
“When aren’t we in trouble?” Han muttered, waving a hand. “It was probably a shot in the dark.”
“Fine point,” Lando said. “I ended my first comm call with him and within about half an hour, Cracken called back and ordered any spare ship I had on Nkllon to meet his cruisers here. I think he forgot that I don’t report to him any more.”
“He didn’t forget,” Han and Leia said together. Leia glared at Han; he grinned back at her.
“Let’s not do that again,” she said.
