Is it possible for new (or at least unrecorded) Kemetic spirits/deities to just make themselves known to people out of the blue? I received a couple of those "spirit download" things yesterday, both of which showed the images and names of netjeru/netjeri I'd never heard of before. (If it means anything, the names I got were Akhten and Auwet.) Considering how old Kemetism is, can there be real unrecorded spirits in this day and age, or are they most likely something else?

I do think it's highly possible, especially with the Netjeri, as they are simply any non-human spirit (and it would be impossible to list and categorize every single one!). It's worthwhile to remember that while we have found a lot about the religion in Ancient Egypt, there is still so much that has been lost to the sands of time (pun intended).

Of course, practice discernment and make sure that they truly are who they say they are, but other than that I would simply research and continue from there!

Lately I've been obsessed with the art and hieroglyphs of tombs located in the Valley of the Queens.

A green skinned gazelle maybe? Is this a representation of spirit maybe, or is this an actual netjer/i?

currently sitting on my bed because if i sit too close to where i set out all these trinkets and stones for these ghosts/spirits/powers to choose as their anchors (under Rick’s supervision, btw, as Set put him in charge. this is the first i’ve seen of him in a while and he seems as happy as i am to be helping with...whatever this is), i start to get a headache from too many different kinds of energies moving around too quickly

I hope this question isn't too all over the place lol. So I've been called to both Set and Demonolatry, I've heard of some people that will call to Satan (or Lucifer) first for assistance and respectful purposes before summoning demons. So, I've heard that Set is basically the Egyptian variation of what would be considered "Satan" (and I know a variation of him is thought to be a demon).. do you know of any ties between Set and demons? Could I call upon set for assistance in demonolatry?

So I’ll be honest in that I dislike nearly anything that equates Set to Satan. I know its a paradigm that works for a lot of folks, but it really just doesn’t jive for me given that it’s applying one type of role or name onto a completely separate and unrelated religion. Just doesn’t seem accurate or fair to me.

That aside, all of the NTRW have tied to netjeri or “demons”. They aren’t your classical demons that you often see related to Christianity or anything of that nature, but they are often translated into English as “demons” in the same way that you’ll see ‘yokai’ often done. So to answer your question, yest, Set does have ties to the Egyptian equivalent of ‘demons’ or lesser spirits. As do all of the NTRW.

Would he be helpful for assistance with demons? Probably depends on the demons you’re trying to invoke and whether they are related to AE and/or Kemeticism or not. I’d suspect he’d have a better time with, say, Arrows and calling them and directing them than something that has nothing to do with the Duat, Kemeticism, AE or netjeri. YMMV, ofc, tho.
