So I've been taking this time in the pandemic to learn more about astrology!!!
"But how can you really put someone in a box. What if they relate to all aspects of all signs?"
I already knew more than the basic stuff, but it's really fascinating the more you learn how much it can really get personalized. I don't know how many times as a person interested in it I've been asked:
"What if someone is a twin - their personality isn't going to be identical?"
Well I've worked hard on not box type casting people once I know their sign. In fact I have found that the more I try to approach things more open minded, the more people surprise me. And well there is really more aspects to your chart than JUST being an Aries (my sun sign). I also have a Leo rising, a cancer moon (my lord with polarities in my emotions. Hot/cold song by Katy Perry very well identifies my emotional state. I'm happy and crying, I'm fine then I'm not. I'm up and I'm down, I'm laughing, then sob. This emotional sensitivity really reared it's head in my early 20s. It took serveral years for the fire in my chart to be OKAY with crying. Talk about a surpressed, hyperventilating mess!!!)
And twins can strengthen aspects of certain elements of signs while not be as dominate in aspects. Also depending what time they're born, planets can shift in the natal chart to given different influences as well!
Anyways just fascinations.
The really cool aspects of astrology (one I've picked up when re-taking up the drive to learn) is:
I really love to learn and explore myself. Topics such as: psychology, biology, astrology, numerology, etc, has always been of fascination to myself. It truly takes a lifetime to discover who you truly are. And you really have to have the desire to work towards that. I know people in my life, younger, similar age, and older, who haven't the SLIGHTEST IDEA of who they are. And well, that's okay if you want it to be. But I want to know my strengths, my weaknesses, my attributes, my potential paths, my loves, my hates, what sparks joy in me, and so forth. Astrology is definitely one of those tools to help achieve some of these things.
The other is, I used to not pay much attention to the further out planets (uranus, neptune, pluto) as they take SO LONG to transit that they cannot truly give a personal intepretation as to who you are as an individual, right? Oh my gosh I was never so wrong. Yes and no. Yes the planets towards the end represent more generations than individuals (compared to the rising sign that flips every hour), however, depending on your rising sign (the chart housing starts at the rising sign), your uranus can be in the house of communications, where as someone else's uranus can be in the house of lovers and relationships. So Uranus's generational interpretation would have different relevance based on placement. That blew my mind. (I'm pretty easily impressed through - Aries trait).
So there can be quite a bit to learn. And I'm really excited to continue the journey towards possibly developing this into something I can one day ultilize to help others understand themselves as well!!!
(Included my natal chart for those educated and personally interested)
