One of the worst things about being a warrior is probably the nightmares. After the battle with Lord Shen, none of them really had their best sleep for a while. At that time they used to find each other awake at the very early mornings.

pens, needles and threads, curly red hair, skin that starts to peel from the cuticles, people around her have zippers on their stomachs, a carnival in the ocean, a hospital with only one room that matters, always 3 a.m., fire in a dollhouse, birds missing their hearts (they’re in her pocket), baths that just make her dirtier, food that’s always red and wet and wrapped in plastic, a woman who’s too tall for every doorway and window, carvings on the mirror, skin being infected by every malady, a portrait that yells at her, an open grave but she can’t see what’s at the bottom, a skinless man in the fog, a smoking wolf always behind her, banging her wrist in between the door and the frame, a crying mermaid, moths that never leave, everybody has an open neck. she’s nothing and nowhere.
