Does the entity being narrated have to be able to hear the narrating voice? I'm thinking of a particular novel where the narrator is an actual character, and it's written in second person as if they're addressing the viewpoint character, but while the narrator does eventually interact with other characters in the story the viewpoint character doesn't realise they're present and can't hear them

By "main character" do you mean the main lead character of their series (e.g. G1 Frankie, G2 Draculaura, G3 Clawdeen, Scary Girls Draculaura, Melody) or just major character?
