On Monday night at 11:50pm, SpaceX launched the OneWeb 16 mission. I photographed it from 135.9 miles away in St. Petersburg, FL. The first stage of this Falcon9 landed back at Cape Canaveral. After stage separation, it did a boostback burn, which is just insane to watch in the sky. The clouds were a bit more than I hoped for, but I made it work. I set up two cameras to capture the shots. One at 50mm (first pic) and one at 18mm (second pic). The third pic is an edited crop of frames from the 50mm camera showing the detail of the boostback burn.
Also, Elon is still a total turd. Space, rockets, and the like are still important and cool, so I photograph them. The guy who runs this rocket company is an asshole.
