The 5.5″ diameter/1.25″ deep bowl was designed specifically for dry food, hard food or water for most cats or a small dog (as a Yorkie, Chihuahua or Pomeranian). This bowl may also be used to serve a small amount of wet food to pets with narrower muzzles. Flat faced cats and flat muzzled dogs should eat from a wide shallow bowl (see our wet food dishes). The deeper bowl on this model keeps dry food better contained and less exposed to air. The raised pedestal design helps keep water cleaner and better tasting.
