This tier list details which champions are most popular in today’s current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

Champion Explanations

Ekko [Tier 1 Mid] – As a very flashy outplay type champion, Ekko pulls in a lot of bans. However, his play rate isn’t particularly high. It seems like there’s a healthy respect for the potential abilities of the champion, but also a wariness of the skill level it takes to play him correctly.

Elise [Tier 1 Jungle] – Despite getting a lot of press in various places lately, including on this blog, Elise doesn’t seem to be catching on quite as quickly as you’d expect. Her ban rate is relatively low, and although she has a healthy pick rate, it’s by no means spectacular. Since the LCS is played on an earlier patch at the moment, expect a bit of time before she goes viral.

Ezreal [Tier 1 Mid] – For some reason he still draws a lot of bans and a lot of play time. It seems to be a bit of a lag between the patch changes and the memo reaching the general population. Again, the fact that professionals play on a patch where he still does very well mid with smite means that many people are unaware of the fact that it no longer works very well.

Gangplank [Tier 2 Top] – Along with his rework, Gangplank’s become somewhat of a presence top lane, seeing a lot of play time. Although his rework definitely brought in some new dimensions to the champion, it remains to be seen if his popularity can maintain with the low rate of success most people are having with him in solo queue. With the recent surge in Warwicks on the rift however, he’s not a bad pick.

Kayle [God Tier Jungle] – With her insane synergy with devourer, Kayle is drawing massive scrutiny as a sheer DPS type champion that has a one-trick utility ultimate that happens to be a very good trick.

Leblanc [Tier 2 Mid] – For the first time in a long time, Leblanc is no longer on the upper echelons of mid laners. She’s still widely considered a strong champion and respected for her abilities, but no longer feared.

Lee Sin [Tier 3 Top] – Lee Sin is almost never played as a top laner. However, when he is, most allied players generally request that he build tank instead of glass cannon. Unfortunately, his glass cannon build is pretty much the only build that’s viable top lane.

Miss Fortune [Tier 2 ADC] – She’s seeing a bit more play time after her rework, but it relatively the same champion. Most people see her as a champion that lacks mobility and doesn’t scale well into the late game, so it’s unlikely she’ll rise to the top any time soon.

Ryze [Tier 1 Top] – Similar to Ezreal, there may be a bit of a lag time between the patch and the general populace’s change in banning habits.

Shen [Tier 1 Support] – Somewhat out of left field, support Shen is now a “thing”. He’s got good harass and solid short cooldown AOE CC. He also has the ability to “roam” via his ultimate with great effect.

Tahm Kench [Tier 3 Top] – At the moment there are quite a number of high Elo players trying to make top lane Kench a “thing”, and he’s starting to gain a bit of notoriety and a few head nods to his strength.

Viktor [God Tier Mid] – Viktor is by far, one of the most popular picks mid lane at the moment, beloved for his burst damage, shields, and CC that he provides on short cooldown. While he’s a somewhat difficult champion to master, he can 100 to 0 almost every squishy in the game with ease.

Champions UNDERLINED may be over/undervalued, but aren’t/haven’t played enough for me to make a better judgement.

Within each tier the champions are strongest from left to right, but within a tier each champion’s strength isrelatively close. This is especially true for Tiers 2 and 3 where these champions are ALL highly playable and player dependent on how strong they are in-game.

This tier list takes data from ALL players; however, since the majority of players fall in the first three tiers, the majority of data points will come from there.

Win Rates are important in analyzing each champion’s strength, but are not the end-all criteria for any champion’s position.

The creator of this list is diamond, so there may be some personal bias towards higher tier play on certain champions.

  Champion Explanations

Ezreal (AP), Azir, Ryze [Misc.] – Nerfed really hard. 

Ahri [God Tier Mid] – Some people still question Ahri as a god tier mid laner, which I find somewhat surprisingly, but it’s probably mostly due to professional influence. The fact of the matter is, Ahri is one of those champions that make enemy teams say “mid, pls stop getting caught by Ahri”. With four flashes, three of which deal multi-target damage, easier said than done.

Diana [Tier 1 Jungle] – With the changes on Runeglaive, Diana does farm harder, but bursts lower during ganks. As a primary “gank” type jungler post-6, this change does hurt her, but she retains more than enough damage to delete squishies.

Elise [God Tier Jungle] – As her new buffs sink in, it’s becoming ever more obvious that she’s insanely strong right now. Check out this page for a full explanation!

Gangplank [Tier 2 Top] – The new rework on Gangplank seems to be keeping him relatively the same, although his win rate dropped as people get used to his kit. I don’t think it’s anything special, but does seem to have more potential than we’re seeing right now.

Jarvan IV [Tier 1 Top] – The switch from tank meta to devourer meta was not kind of Jarvan as a jungler. However, as a top laner, he provides a ton of CC, armor reduction, and also naturally builds black cleaver, which is an amazing team fighting item at the moment.

Jax [Tier 1 Jungle] – Despite a weak early game and somewhat difficult ganking power, Jax late game is absolutely monstrous after he’s built up a few on-hit aspd items and gets sated status. His ability to solo carry games at that point more than makes up for his relatively low early strength.

Kayle [God Tier Jungle] – Kayle jungle is absolutely broken right now. As a champion who excels with on-hit items, she massacres the jungle and mid-late game team fights. Her first clear can be a bit rough, but can be done even without a leash.

Kayle [Tier 1 Top] – Top lane Kayle is still a big a bully as they come. Although she doesn’t have the benefit of having devourer like her jungle counterpart, she’s still in a great spot right now and can easily dominate lanes, split push, and 1v2 with ease. The fact that many “utility” type junglers are being replaced by glass cannons also works very well in her favor. She can be camped fairly easy top though, especially when the tears of her opponent start rolling.

Master Yi [Tier 1 Jungle] – As a glass cannon jungler with limited utility, Master Yi definitely suffers from some glaring weaknesses. However, as most of you have figured out by now, the double strike proc rate with sated makes him a terror

Miss Fortune [Tier 1 ADC] – The Miss Fortune rework has definitely made her stronger overall. The fact that she can now access her speed boost via her W is huge, since it gives her both chasing and escaping power vs simply sheer damage.

Morgana [Tier 2 Support] – Morgana’s been inadvertently nerfed lately with more “auto-attack” type junglers coming onto the rift that deal sheer AD damage. This makes her black shield weaker. Additionally, the yellow passive gold item was buffed, but Morgana does much better with the blue one.

Nunu [Tier 2 Jungle] – Nunu is still a very viable jungler. However, with the shift of power over from cinderhulk to devourer and runeglaive, he doesn’t scale quite as well into the late game as other champions. This means that his overall impact tends to be much lower in comparison to other popular picks.

Tahm Kench [Tier 3 Top] – Some players found success with top lane Kench, as his damage and tankiness with his shield is decent. However, he still winds up mainly in a support-ish role in teamfights, and so it seems reminiscent of Braum top (which never caught on).

Talon [God Tier Mid] – With many junglers switching over from heavy CC utility based junglers to squishy glass cannons, Talon’s instantaneous AOE synergizes well with them on their team, and also has the ability to deal a high percentage of their HP even by collateral damage.

Warwick [God Tier Jungle] – With his built-in attack speed boost and passive on-hit lifesteal, Warwick absolutely crushes with sated devourer, wits end, and/or blade of the ruined king. We’re seeing him top the charts at every division for the second patch in a row, and it’s only a matter of time before the NERFPLZ pitchforks are raised.

1.) Burst Engage

TOP - Rumble

Variations of this comp have been being used since 5.11 when teams were still trying to find the right ADC to fit in. Sejuani was the original jungle in this but fell a bit out of favor recently. J4 synergizes well via trapping enemies on top of the other AoE spells in the comp. On 5.12 and 5.13 this comp was more popular with Ezreal mid but the Runeglaive nerfs shift it back towards Jayce.

2.) Linebackers

TOP - Nautilus / Maokai

JGL - Gragas / Rek’Sai

MID - Orianna

ADC - Kog’Maw

SUP - Alistar / Braum

3 Tanks + 2 DPS has pretty much been the summary of the meta for most of season 5. Kog’Maw has resurfaced as an answer to the popular Corki as he has similar power spikes and poke potential but doesn’t fall off late game. Basically trading mobility for range and scaling power. But since Kog lacks self peel it’s better to have a ton of peel. Gragas is a bigger tank compared to Rek’Sai but the void monster has better vision control. This comp has seen variations in every region recently.

3.) The 5.12 God Tier Comp

TOP - Gnar

JGL - Nunu

MID - Azir

ADC - Kalista

SUP - Alistar

While this comp isn’t as strong as it was two patches ago due to Kalista and Azir nerfs, it still packs a ton of potent synergy. Gnar can ult into Azir’s wall for big stun plays. Nunu can viably bloodboil Azir or Kalista to increase their DPS. Nunu + Kalista pretty much have 100% execute control over any objective on the map w/ Consume, Smite, and Rend. Kalista throwing Alistar into the enemy team is a great way to start fights. Comp consists of 3 tanks and 2 high dps champions who are also mobile and good at self peeling. This comp is still worth playing but there are more chinks in the armor than on previous patches.

4.) Zone Control (for those itching to play the new GP)

TOP - Gangplank

JGL - Ekko

MID - Viktor

ADC - Sivir

SUP - Alistar / Braum

Viktor + Ekko can throw down snare bubbles and heavily deter enemy advances, cut off choke points, force-path opponents for easy engages, and have good follow up burst damage if any enemies get caught in the traps. Gangplank’s ult fits into this theme and provides good team fighting presence. He can also viably split push due to this comp’s ability to wave clear well w/ Sivir + Viktor and disengage with Sivir ult and zoning tools. The upgraded GP ult + Sivir ult also gives insane mobility when needed. If you want to use this comp without GP, Rumble fits just as well into the comp.

5.) Early Roams + Pick Potential

TOP - Maokai / Shen

JGL - Evelynn / Nidalee / Lee Sin

MID - TF

ADC - Sivir / Graves / Corki

SUP - Annie / Alistar / Braum / Thresh / Tahm Kench / Nautilus

Main concept of this comp is have early aggression from the jungler, strong roaming from the support early on, and then global collapses via TF + Top lane TP / Shen ults. Eve works great with this due to her semi-permanent MIA status, and Nidalee and Lee are just great in general for catch potential and early invade pressure. TF has grown in popularity as he can safely roam vs much of the mid lane control mage meta at the moment. He still needs to fear assassin counter picks though and should probably be picked last on red side or at least after the enemy team has already grabbed their mid laner so that there are no nasty surprises. This comp is also a great opportunity to run the new Tahm Kench as he excels at hard engage. This comp was originally designed and ran as a counter to the popular poke meta that was developing in mid between Ezreal, Jayce, Varus, etc. This comp can force fights very well.

I actually enjoy a different variation of this comp the most using Bard Support and Ashe / Caitlyn ADC. Ashe / Cait synergize best with Bard in lane and their long range makes them safe farmers with strong push / freezing potential for when Bard is roaming. Bard + Nid / Lee / Eve can really give the enemy jungler a hard time until the solo lanes hit 6. Though we have not seen the Bard variation of this comp in competitive yet, the core form has been seen in the LCK and LJL.

6.) Zen

TOP - Shen

JGL - Eve / Ekko

MID - Zed

ADC - Corki

SUP - Alistar / Braum

Zed is one of the few assassins trying to maintain a presence in the meta. Shen has grown in popularity and has been seeing international play in the top lane as well as support. He is most commonly paired with Shen so that the main tank has an express pass to the back line of the fight and so that Zed can survive the initial duration when he can’t utilize his ult’s shadow thanks to recent nerfs. Zed also has good kill pressure on popular control mages such as Viktor, Azir, and Orianna. He also deals with Jinx and Kog well. Eve / Ekko Jungle and Corki ADC help provide enough magic damage to help balance sources. You can also run this comp with Shen support and Rumble / Fizz top.

7.) 5.14 Juggermaw

JGL - Nunu

MID - Orianna / Lulu

ADC - Jinx / Kog / Trist

We’ve all seen this comp and it’s still lurking around. Orianna adds more DPS to this comp than the previous versions that utilized Lulu Mid. Just make sure you don’t get snowballed against too hard early on.

Azir W’ suna pasif olarak saldırı hızı almış eyvallah. Ona lafımız yok. E ile hoplatıyorduk be birader ne istedin bizden şeklinde bir açıklama piyasaları alt üst edip borsada 2 puanlık düşüşe yok açtı.

Cazibesinden kayıplar veren Ahri öpücüğünün eskisi gibi etkili olmadığını görünce “Tüm gardrobumu yenilicem” şeklinde bir çıkış yaptı. Hayranları şaşkın.

Fiora identifies the weak spots – or vitals – in the defenses of all enemy champions she comes close to. If she manages to attack her enemy’s weak spot, Fiora deals 3 [+0.27-0.45 (scales with level)]% of the target’s maximum Health as bonus true damage for that attack, receives a 20% [30/40/50% with ranks in R] bonus Movement Speed and restores 20 [+6 per level] Health. Fiora reveals a new weak spot whenever she attacks one, or when a moderate period of time passes without it being attacked.

  Cost: 25/30/35/40/45 mana || Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 seconds || Range: 400

Fiora lunges in a target direction before striking a nearby enemy, dealing 65/75/85/95/105 [+0.55/0.7/0.85/1.0/1.15 bonus AD] physical damage and applying on-hit effects. Lunge prioritizes enemy champions, and tries to hit enemy weak spots. Finally, 60% of Lunge’s cooldown is refreshed when the ability strikes an enemy.

  Cost: 50 mana at all ranks || Cooldown: X seconds || Range: 750

Fiora enters a defensive stance, parrying all damage and hard crowd control abilities for a fraction of a second. After she’s done parrying, Fiora attacks in a target direction, dealing 90/130/170/210/250 [+0.6 AP] magic damage and slowing the movespeed and Attack  Speed of the first Champion she hits by 50% for 1.5 seconds. If she parries any hard crowd control abilities, Riposte stuns instead of slows.

Cost: 40/45/50/55/60 mana || Cooldown: 15/13/11/9/7 seconds || Range: 150 [melee]

Fiora gains 50% increased attack speed on her next two basic attacks. The first cannot crit but slows her target by 25/35/45/55/65% for 1 second, while the second is guaranteed to crit for 140/155/170/185/200% damage.

  Cost: 100 mana at all ranks || Cooldown: 110/90/70 seconds || Range: 500

Fiora targets an enemy champion, gaining speed and full knowledge of their vitals. Each time she destroys a weak spot, she deals damage equal to a maximum of 4 times the true damage from her passive [15% of Max HP]. If she’s able to destroy all four weak spots in 8 seconds, or if she destroys at least one before her target dies, Fiora creates a large and long-lasting zone under her enemy that heals Fiora and her allied champions for 80/110/140 [+0.6 AD] each second for 5 seconds.

Fiora’s received a brand new kit and a minor visual overhaul:

Compared to a few of our recent updates, we launched Fiora pretty darn recently. Still, she’s one of them tricksy melee marksmen/fighter types who was supposed to be a fleet-footed fencing duelist, but who, once she had a few items, could just lunge up to the other team’s squishies and smack ‘em for a quick and easy – and unstoppable – kill. That was her single gear, really, and because Fiora was only good at killing, when shedidn’t have the damage to do her single job, she couldn’t do much of anything.

Changes were needed, so we added in non-damaging tools to help Fiora and her team, then balanced that out by reducing some of the undodgeable killing power in her kit. She’s still all about outplaying her opponents, but now has the tools she needs to play from behind or help her team out in ways that don’t involve straight up slaughter. Voila, or whatever. Here’s her new kit:

With the update, Fiora’s trading raw damage for extra survivability and utility, making her more of a skirmishing duelist and less of an assassin. We switched her passive entirely, bringing her a new “attack the weak spot” minigame that requires smart planning, position, and execution. But hitting an enemy where they don’t want to be hit is hard, so we gave Lunge the free aiming Fiora needs to dart around without just getting to her enemy. Now she can lunge through targets (or to the side of one) all so she can then attack the enemy’s weak spot, deal a chunk of extra damage, and retreat safely with her small speed boost.

Next up is her W. The old Riposte was exceptionally binary – if your opponent has a basic attack, hit W, if not, don’t – and featured a ton of invisible passively gained pain. New Fiora loses the passive entirely, and gains a whole load of extra defensive options. Even though it doesn’t last long, Riposte negates all incoming damage, meaning Fiora players with catlike reflexes can nullify huge amounts of burst from approaching assassins, or executes from other fighters like Darius and Garen. Riposte’s attack makes for a smart follow up, giving Fiora the chance to close range and attack more weak spots, particularly if she parried enemy crowd control. Bladework mirrors Fiora’s old E, but again helps the Grand Duelist maneuver into positions where she can attack her enemy’s weaknesses.

Last but not least, let’s talk about her ultimate! Blade Waltz was a hugely impactful ability that dealt a crap load of damage, and while it showcased Fiora’s fantasy of a nimble-footed sword-wielding killer, all you had to do to pull the move off was headbutt your R key. In other words, the mechanics didn’t match the fantasy of a skill-based and nimble duelist. Grand Challenge is obviously totally different, and is designed to give Fiora players – and her target – this genuine sense of a real time duel, with Fiora moving around looking to destroy the four weak spots, and her opponent looking to defend them. The rewards, if she pulls them off, are impressive. Aside from the increasing amounts of true damage she deals, the heal will often give Fiora and her team the sustain they need to overpower their enemies and win the fight.

The TL;DR of the changes is that we wanted to better execute on the fantasy of a duelist, someone who wins through smarts and mechanical ability rather than brute numbers. Old Fiora had some aspects of that, but ultimately her best play pattern involved double lunging until she was face-to-face with a horrified enemy squishy, then hitting the R key. Riposte and Burst of Speed both had someelements of dueling that we liked, but again… we just wanted to do it better. That’s why we’ve echoed – rather than replaced – most of her old abilities with her new moves.

this new HUD is so bad.. i hate that items are on the right instead of left, i hate that the shop is changed and has bigger pictures/more zoomed in because it makes it harder to navigate everything is put into a small area of the screen and it’s hard to distinguish where and what the information you’re looking for actually is. i’m used to feeling comfortable with the HUD and being able to quickly read the HUD and in-game information and now it’s completely cluster fucked; it takes me forever to gather information while playing and after 4 years of playing with the HUD one way it’s ridiculous that Riot would force players to play with it so drastically changed. at least give us an option to use the old HUD or customize the window placement also the blue color is too much and takes away from the clarity of your abilities the level-up animation and arrows above already maxed abilities makes no sense and it makes less sense that you can’t even toggle it. not to mention that the stats are much harder to read because altered stats are no longer green and the “c” page was removed, now you have to hold c and mouse over the stats individually and the minimap having a blue tint is so disorienting  i also dislike that enemy/allied summoners are shown and their CDs

and call me crazy but i’m pretty sure they removed information from the left side of the screen (which also looks really bad being completely empty) because of blue side advantage - which only reinforces the idea that Riot only cares about things that make them money ie. e$port$ nobody cared about blue side having an advantage anyway

overall i just feel disconnected from the game and frustrated with the new HUD for people who have been playing a long time, it is ridiculous to switch to such a drastically different HUD and honestly there should be the option to use the old format

The HUD update ready to go live with 5.14!

Following several cycles of PBE testing, the HUD Update is coming to live in the upcoming 5.14 patch!

“After an extended stay on the PBE, we’re pushing the HUD update out to the live servers alongside patch 5.14! Check out the HUD update microsite for the full story, but if you’re already familiar with the initial changes and just want to know what’s changed since the new HUD hit the PBE, then read on! Here’s what’s changed – in a large part thanks to your feedback – since the HUD update said hi to PBE:

Teammate ult timers – we’ve added in timers that indicate when your allies can use their ults! Before the update, this was just represented by a binary green light, but you’ll see the ult timers fill up with the update, meaning you can more accurately figure out when it’s time to wombo.

Teammate summoner spell timers – hit the tab key at any point and you’ll see if your allies can use their spells, and, if not, how long until they can.

Teammate mana bars have returned – we left out allied mana bars with the update, thinking they weren’t super important. We were wrong, you guys let us know, and they’re back in now.

Persistence – if you open champion stats or latency display during a game, it’ll persist between matches.

Level up ceremony – we added a bunch of animations and sounds to make sure you know when you ding.

Spellbar clarity – made some pretty hefty changes to the shape, color, and animation of cooldown, loss of control and out of mana to improve readability.

Minimap changes – game time feels like it belongs near the minimap because timing is usually related to map objectives, but ultimately playtests and feedback have shown it’s a more natural fit in the top corner.

Visual style – we’re all for minimal, but we may have overshot it. We’ve since tried to squeeze in more magic through texture work and animation.

Accessibility – added camera lock and options buttons back in.

We’re planning on rolling the HUD update over to live with patch 5.14. “This update’s an evolution of the existing UI and is designed to better support the way you play League by improving gameplay clarity through its better layout, improved readability, and added features.

TL;DR

We’re creating a more streamlined UI that doesn’t obscure the play space and reorganizes the information based on how players actually use it. These changes are all driven by tons of observation and playtesting, but like everything else, we’re looking for your feedback to improve them further.

GETTING TACTICAL

Clear corners should allow you to see more of the game

Added CDR to basic stats. Press C to display advanced stats above

XP bar moved to the center of the screen

All buffs back to the center, divided into buff and debuff groups

Ability icons are larger and have new clearer state change effects

Items are displayed in the center to make it easier to track activities

When we say ”tactical”, we’re referring to information that supports your moment to moment – mainly combat – gameplay decisions, stuff like casting an ult or chugging a pot. It also covers the things being done to your champion, like being shielded by a friendly Janna or ignited by a less friendly one. We’ve grouped these elements and placed them front and center because that’s a player’s main field of view. We’ve also amped up the visuals on state changes such as “just off cooldown” and “level up” to ensure you catch them without having to take your eye off the action.

THINKING STRATEGICALLY

CS, KDA, Team KDA, and time are grouped here to get all your info in one place

Team frames moved here to keep tabs on your teammates status

Team ult timers have been added that indicate when allied ults are coming off cooldown and can be used

Enemy respawn timers dynamically display here so you don’t have to hit TAB after a team fight

Strategic information allows players to see the big picture. It helps you understand the state of the overall game and what’s going on across the map in order to make longer term decisions. For example, maybe you’ve farmed enough gold to get a BF Sword on your first back. Before you B, you have a few questions to answer: how are the lanes pushing? Where’s their jungler? Did your support just hit 6? How are you tracking compared to your lane opponent? Is dragon up? Are your teammate’s ults about to come off cooldown for a wombo? Then later on, maybe you’ve just scraped through a teamfight and have other questions that need fast answers: who’s still alive on my team? How many did we kill? How long until the enemy respawns? What can we get before then? In the current HUD, this information is scattered across the entire screen from the minimap to the top right corner, the left side, and even the TAB menu. With the HUD update, we’re grouping the answers to these questions around the minimap because players naturally head there for this kind of info. We think that this cluster creates a strategic command center of sorts and leads to better overall map awareness.

Finally, the update’s tackling some feature requests aimed at general usability. We’ve moved the scoreboard around so the two teams are listed horizontally, and added drag and drop so you can shift people around and line up midlane vs midlane, or move people around however you like. The new scoreboard also lists player items in order of cost, meaning you can figure out who’s packing the bigger punches, or who can take the most punishment out of the team’s tanks, as well as summoner spell timers for your team, so you know if your Annie is ready for that flash Tibbers. Last but not least, we’ve squeezed in tower info onto the scoreboard, meaning you pretty much have all the important info to hand whenever you hit the tab key.

We’ll be hitting all unranked queues first and ranked soon after.

FAQ

Is there any information that’s going away?

Nope. The information contained in the current HUD is still there or can be flipped on. In fact, we’ve added heavily requested information (such as CDR, CS to target frames, and enemy respawn timers.) which should help you make better decisions.

Can I customize the HUD?

We’ll provide customization in order to solve specific problems (such as accessibility) or in service of gameplay (I want stats or I’d like to see more of the game space). This helps ensure a level playing field which a competitive game like League of Legends should always have while allowing for some meaningful flexibility.”

Meddler on Vision & a potential preseason change to trinkets

When asked for the team’s thoughts on the current vision system of limiting the amount of wards on the map at one time per person, Meddler commented on trinkets and noted a tentative change they are experimenting with for preseason: “Overall we’re pretty happy with the ward limit per person. There’s a limit to how much vision we think’s right for the game (FOW’s there for a reason), so the limit per player’s allowed us to offer vision in other ways. Trinkets in particular we’re really happy with – they generate some interesting gameplay. It’s also put supports in a much more interesting spot, where they’re able to invest in items rather than being forced to sink anywhere near as much money into vision. Something that is a bit of barrier to appropriate trinket use though for some players is that they’re put off by the upgrade cost. We’re planning to test removing the gold cost for the upgraded versions in the preseason as a result, find out if that has a good effect on the game. You should pretty much always be upgrading them as is, so it’s a change that’s got the potential to help players that aren’t appreciating the vision system yet engage with it more. At the same time it would also free up a bit of gold for players that are buying the upgrades at present.”
