with all the discussion of fan casting mbj as either torch or mj. I love it in theory but like. these characters have established personalities, you know that right?

at least with torch people are roughly sticking to the plot since he played johnny really well in fant4stic, but with mj it seems like people are just giving mbj!mj whatever personality they want and keeping her name; like I dont think y'all want to ship peter with a different version of mj I think you just want to ship him with michael b jordan

and before someone says "all versions of a character are canon in the multiverse" THAT IS NOT HOW THE MULTIVERSE WORKS. characters should have similar [personality] traits across universe, it's just that the particular environments are altered. that's the whole point.

🤔 Somehow, regardless of whether this is Peter x MJ or Peter x Johnny, regardless of top/bottom/vers roles...I feel confident in saying it's MBJ, not Peter, who makes the first move.
