Thinking about how in an au scenario where Tarnma are dating Pre-Cybertronian Civil War, Damus describing his partner to his classmates at the Jhiaxian Academy probably sounds like when someone goes ‘my girlfriend goes to another school’ aka they don’t exist lol. Especially because being an empurata’ed bot probably makes him not very conventionally attractive by Cybertronian standards on top of the whole social pariah shunning that’s attached to it, so claiming he’s got some hot jet who not only looked past that but is into him sounds a little out there for others especially when he gives Pharma’s description. Like Damus describing Pharma sounds like someone’s fictional boyfriend they made up in middle school. The others are like ‘Glitch, at least if you’re going to lie about a fake boyfriend make it sound realistic...’

Trailbreaker: So you’re saying your romantic partner is tall, handsome, a jet with a tri-color paint job forged with distinctive shoulder vents and wings, and on top of that is also a skilled surgeon doing cutting edge research on cybercrosis.

Damus: Yeah <3

Windcharger: How come we’ve never seen or met him?

Damus: He works a lot. And we usually go to his place for more privacy since he doesn’t have any roommates.

Windcharger: Right…well the Academy is having a social event karaoke night next week. Maybe you should join us, it’s a good way to meet new people, make friends, etc (people who are actually real he thinks internally, Glitch pls this is pitiful we’ll find you an actual bot to date)

Damus, already daydreaming of serenading Pharma and maybe wheedling him into singing a duet with him: A karaoke night? That sounds nice actually, is it alright if I invite my partner?

The others, thinking Damus is really committing to the bit: …Sure.

One week later they’re all taking bets on if Damus’ partner will actually show up or if he even exists. This isn’t helped by the fact that over ten minutes have passed and Damus’ alleged partner is a no show.

Skids, trying to be nice but also thinks Damus' partner doesn't exist: You know if he can't make it it's okay. Maybe something important came up.

Pharma walking in a minute later, medic brands proudly displayed on his wings, goes up to Damus and gives him a quick kiss on the helm before sitting next to him: Sorry I'm late. I had a last minute emergency surgery that they called me in for.

Meanwhile everyone is like 'WTF HE'S REAL?!?!!'

Wrote a new Tarnma AU fic "I Loved You To The Point Of Invention"

Fic Summary:

Some claimed that Tarn was a monster who did not know anything about love, but that could not be farther from the truth. Once upon a time, Tarn had been loved.

Basically an AU where Damus and Pharma were conjunxes before the war and a snapshot into the ways Pharma loved him. Also known as Pharma inventing assistive technology to help Damus in his everyday life dealing with an outlier ability he can't control and the impact of having no hands due to empurata.

I think that Glitch originally has a hard time thinking of ideas due to how if Pharma isn’t with him at home resting up (usually too drained to do too much), he's probably at a back to back shift at Deltaran or the Dead End clinic. He’s all about his job; it's basically his whole life which on one hand kind of concerns Glitch in that he’s worried about Pharma overworking himself, however in their times together he picks up on things here and there that Pharma seems casually enthusiastic about. Some of those things include his affinity for nice engex, a small collection of Jazz disks, and a datapad or two full of pop music files that he seems to enjoy listening to when around the house. Glitch doesn’t quite wholly get the appeal of modern Cybertronian music, preferring the older things, however he's supportive of things Pharma is into in his off time.

Cue Glitch attempting to get (way too expensive) tickets to see Jazz for Pharma as a surprise anniversary gift or as a congrats on *insert prestigious medical award here* then proceeding to run by their favorite energon/engex stop on the way back and having a chill night at home together. Pharma originally was really surprised when Glitch revealed his gift/date plan and tried to play it off as ‘oh okay, this will be nice’ and was open to the experience since he had actually never been to a concert before. Needless to say, despite Pharma being fairly nonchalant about the date idea at first, Glitch was wildly amused to see Pharma yelling the lyrics louder than he had ever heard him yell roughly 1/6rd of the way through the concert when Jazz got to his favorite song, “Rearview Mirror”. Glitch didn’t quite let him live that down as he would mimic what Pharma was doing during the concert (Suddenly start belting out the lyrics way too loudly, arms thrown up moving to the beat as if having a religious experience) whenever they are at home listening to Jazz’s music and that particular song would come on. Usually Pharma would just get annoyed with him and harp on him to stop, but when in an overly good mood he’ll sometimes join in. The neighbors around Pharma’s apartment definitely heard him do this a few times…

Additional date idea: Due to Glitch’s past and being very limited in what he was able to have as recreational time & the fact that ‘vacation’ was practically an unknown to him Glitch is a bit of a travel fiend now that he's more able to. However Glitch acknowledges how busy Pharma is, but here and there they’ll take a few days off and either go to the nearest ocean spot (Glitch’s favorite) or maybe have a weekend out on the town which Pharma is rather partial to. Pharma isn’t too much of a fan of the higher class of cybertron’s art scenes (he thinks its really pompous which Glitch does find hard to argue with at times, Glitch himself preferring their older art scenes), however Pharma can appreciate a good glass of engex and the general glamorous atmosphere that surrounds the upper realms of Cybertron’s more wealthy sectors.

In the next few chapters I’m planning on touching on some scenes with domestic Pharma and Damus/Glitch….Gliarma? Pharmus? I kinda like Pharmus lol) and I’m pretty excited about it! 😄
