2-1/4" pin-backs with plastic backs, what's available?
CARLOS VILO: Dominican Republic
CARLOS: Hi, i need buy buttons part with plastics pin-bakc. The size is 2.25 inch. Please answer to my email. Gracias.
THE BUTTON GUY: First question is, always, what kind of button maker do you have? A standard North American 2-1/4"? A Badge-a-minit 2-1/4" which is actually 2-3/8" or a Chinese Button Maker which is 58mm.
THE BUTTON GUY: All the above 3 sizes/styles are not interchangeable. You have to get the right ones or they will not work.
THE BUTTON GUY: There are no plastic backs for 2-1/4” buttons in standard button sizes. There are plastic backs for Chinese button makers. They will also not be 2-1/4” but usually in a similar size in a mm equivalent. So first of all: What kind of button maker do you have. You can send a model and manufacturer # or send a photo. Cheers, The Button Guy
THE BUTTON GUY: Lastly, why on earth do you want plastic. Alot of Chinese button makers use white plastic with the pin glued so that it soon falls off. Most people want metal buttons. What's your reason?
