Ahhh, Saturday morning sunrise! What better way to celebrate the return of the sun after nearly two weeks of grey, drizzly, foggy gloom than with a tasty bowl of RLP-6 in one of my Bonfiglioli pipes I picked up around 1995? Fairly fresh out of the shower here and easing into mandatory overtime week #46. Counting my blessings here, and wishing you all a very happy weekend!

Autumn has arrived, and the chill winds begin to blow! Nothing a nice hot shower and a cup of hot ginger lemon tea can't warm up--along with a bowl of tasty tobacco in a pipe reminiscent of the leaves outside 🍁

After hosting a dear friend from Los Angeles for the last nine days (and enjoying some greatly-needed time away from working!) it feels bittersweet to return to the quiet morning rituals.
Starting Sunday morning off right with some tasty pipe smoke and green tea (and a tune by the late, great Dave Samuels) after six long days of overtime work and grey skies here in the cornfields! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, all 🐻 🔥 💨 ❤️

After an amazing and much-needed week of vacation in New England (my first time!) it's back to the working world, including the mandatory overtime (week 29 here--oof!)
I'm grateful for sunny mornings like this one to take a moment to enjoy a bowl of good tobacco (Haunted Bookshop, gifted by my friends in New Hampshire) and a recently-restemmed pipe I'd gotten in Kansas City in 1999. Capping it off with a cup of dragon fruit tea and a Philip Aaberg album I'd not heard since I was a teenager.
