I finished another small Sylvanas project! I remade my eyebrows! O am so happy with this set! I drew out the shape I wanted and took some wefts in the same color as my wig(silver from Arda) and saturated it with tacky glue and nudged into the basic shape. Once they dried completely I removed them from my wax paper and trimmed them to shape. And then of course I stuck them to my face immediately following finishing. I just used my eyelash glue and they were...there. I woke up this morning to overcast skies and rejoiced! I was able to get a chunk of outdoor work done early in the day because I was fighting direct sunlight. I made the base of my quiver out of 6mm foam that I barged together to make the shape I wanted. I'm gonna cover it with a cover made from my green and red leathers as well as the gargoyle dupioni from @silkbaron. It is starting to take shape! It's currently very ugly and I'm having to remember how to make armor, but maybe I will have the base shape done today! Starting a new piece! (I gotta wait for my new base shoes for armor) I am starting with my quiver because it seemed less overwhelming. This was before I sat around for 4 hours trying to decide a method, which I still have yet to do, before starting even my pattern. You can only see the mouth in the reference so I based the design on Sylvanas' in game warchief skin quiver and a crest that I designed for a different piece of Sylvanas-based art. I'm also very excited to used the @evilted_channel skull mold for all of my Sylvanas skull needs. It was really nice to make this pattern because I literally just got to draw out some shapes with my ruler and curves to my taste and not worry if it is gonna fit my body. It's proportional because I based the length measurement on some info I got from the Project Gutenberg website and also holding it up to my body. It's Shadowlands day! I haven't cosplayed from WoW yet so all I have to share is my current Sylvanas progress! I'm so very close with this garment and now that I have made more piping it is much easier for me and my brain to continue forward with next steps. But the hard parts are done, and it is getting very close to being a wearable garment. Into the tedious portion of this project on the #wipwednesday! Back to quilting for another undergarment piece of Sylvanas, these time for her gambeson. I was originally going to cord some of the panels but I didn't want to put the cording in by hand so I shuffled my ideas around so that I would just quilt it all. I'm doing the pieces 2 at a time so that I can make sure all of the ribs match up because that is important to me. Working on the guts of my gambeson! Because I decided to base it on a gores pair of stays every layer has gores...so I'm getting a lot of practice. I decided to start in the coutil because if I decided i wanted to finesse the fit, it's an easy place to do it. Surprising 0 people I fussed with the fit and I'm very happy now! I'm very excited to show more of this idea and fingers crossed it actually works out as intended. Also I wanted to show off the piping I made for the gambeson in @silkbaron dupioni in Ectoplasm. THEY ARE DONE! This piece of her outfit was definitely hanging over my head as soon as I decided to alter my color palette so im glad I was able to accomplish what was in my head for them. I still laugh at the fact this is the third time I've made gaiters for her.
