I don’t know why but I’m doing a lot of reflecting on my fictional crushes, and even real life crushes/people I’ve dated, and I’m coming to the conclusion that I have not ever actually wanted to date them. I confused it for thinking I wanted that, but like everyone I have ever had a crush on it’s either because I am like them, want to be them, or a mixture of both, or I just really think they’re pretty (or in the especially early times when I dated boys and the thought was ‘I like this boy, but everyone says girls and boys can’t be friends and that we’ll eventually catch feelings for each other, so might as well just date him and get it over with!’). Which is also making me understand that I am a lot more aromantic than I originally thought. Like oh boi. I thought any of my aromanticism was stemming from just my trauma which is why I don’t talk about it a lot because it feels like it doesn’t count because of that but uhhhh...you know I don’t think it is, or at least that’s not the only factor anymore.

We do love learning new things about ourselves lol
