Thinking about the importance of names; choosing or using a name to hide who you are or reject the person you're supposed to be. A quiet defiance against parenting saying "you don't get to pick who i am" or using or going by a different name bc you're ashamed of who you are, you're emberassed of the name you were given only to grow up into the name and take pride in the weight it holds.
I take pride in naming my characters. some of them aren't as serious as others; but they all hold some level of meaning to the character. It's *their* name not yours. I've given them the name but it's *theirs* to use and grow into

The quintessential Tumblr experience is like... bad, but also fundamentally very unlike the traditional experience of reading blogs.
I was writing a long-ass post about how media rep doesn’t do much for practical matters
And that’s it
Media rep doesn’t change the transphobia I or other people face
It just doesn’t
It alleviates the pain for some, but not mine
anyway... i’m still at 300. -.-

This ought to be the third post, the other two being about my hometown and on prom. Wow, those were a while ago. So, here we go! ((I apologize in advance for the rant, especially because it probably makes no sense...)) -- One of my worst personality quirks, in my opinion, is I love to watch people and observe what goes on in "life". People, I say, are some of the most simple yet complex beings in existence. Most are, indeed, stupid. Myself included. The reason behind that, in my opinion, is that we think too much.
Disputes are caused when two conflicting ideas collide and cannot mix. Life would indeed be simpler if we could all "just get along," but I've found after several years of people watching that this will never happen. In today's society there is an obnoxious stress on being an individual. Now, I'm not saying that everyone need conform, as I myself often go out of my way to find something about myself that is unique to anyone else I meet, but due to the immense need for individuality today there is little chance for unique and open thoughts to flow. I believe that those two ideas are some of the most "valued" in society. "Individuality" and "Open mindedness."
These two ideas contradict each other. How is it that each and every person can be individual in the first place if we are meant to be open minded? To me, the very base definition of being an "open minded person" is to accept the ideas of others, but ideas are fierce and influential things. Every idea that comes into your mind changes you in some way. Following that idea, then people in existence are ever changing. Ever changing means "never the same," but if thing are in fact always changing then how can the idea of individuality even occur?
Sure, people can have different views on ideas, but there are only so many ways to paraphrase.
To me, only a close-minded person can be truly individual, as their thoughts and ideas never change. But those people don't exist. Stubborn people do, but as I said before, every idea changes a person. Everyone is in someway open minded, which in turn cancels out individuality. Therefore, is anyone truly individual?
KEEP YOUR EYES OUT FOR: Greyson and Jaden Hart.
Say hello to the Hart brothers, the handsome young men from Savannah, Georgia. My sources say that they're both single, but for how long? I mean, look at them? What girl or boy would be dumb enough to ever let those men leave their bed?
