It's been a long week guys.
Mainly because I had this programming assignment due last Wednesday that took me a total of 12 hours to complete @_@ But yeah, yay for finishing!
So on Sundays, I have to go to Intervarsity leadership meetings.
That's basically when our staff leader Dora asks about our week and lets us know what's going to be happening in the future and stuffs. After that we split off into our respective teams (like dorm team, campus team, prayer team, worship team, etc. and btw, I'm on New to Faith!).
But, one of the things she talked about this week was about time-management. She talked about how there are these 3 most important sections of our life that we have to make time for.
The first is physical/mental/emotional health: making sure we're fit and that we're not stressed all the time. Good thing Eugene's been helping me with gym work-outs!
The second is God. ...obviously. (and she made a side-note that God is technically a part of everything but yeah) Make sure you're still finding time to grow closer to Him and learning more about him.
However, it's really the last thing she said that really stuck out to me. This was something she called "primary relationships". While I don't remember exactly how she defined it, I coined it as people who are important to you and people you would want to know even after leaving college (like close friends and family).
It really made me think about who were the most important people in my life right now, but my negligence of primary relationships didn't really hit me until I realized how much time I invested in my programming assignment. She told us that make sure that every once in a while you spend time with these people or talk to them or just hang out with them because these are your friends that will walk with you and as such you should invest in them too.
But yeah, I felt a lot better last week being able to meet up with people and reinforcing these relationships in my life. =)
