Sci-Fi CPU
X86 is a shitass disgusting architecture change my mind
The only reason it stuck around was because ibm decided it for the IBM PC and risc based things were barely being designed and later were mostly only for workstations. That and Intel has hella marketing and rnd (no hate on that)
Like do you want one instruction that tell you to do 4 different thing? NO I WANT 4 LITTLE ITTY BITTY BITES OF INSTRUCTION DATA LIKE ITS BUILDING AN IKEA SHELF. Do you want more silicon usage and therefor more temperature? HELL NAHHH LET ME HAVE CHEAP EFFICIENT THINKERS IN DESKTOP FORM
All in all I’m really happy arm (and risc-v by extension) desktops are slowly coming back to consumers and I want more competition in this market area

After Apple and Qualcomm settled a few months ago, Intel was left out because of it and was forced to exit the 5G modem business. But a rumor has been going around claiming that Apple is in talks with Intel and wants to buy the modem chip business to reduce its reliance on Qualcomm in the future.
