#trollhuntersedit#trollhunters#dreamworksedit#toby domzalski#edits#this one is my poor contribution to the#alien!toby#theory and content since i wanted to do a full edit changing his skin color and eyes but didn’t really have the time#but it’s subtle enough to be simply an ode to this amazing boy too#who gets overlooked way too much when he actually is a pillar to the narrative#there’s an easiness in him#a warm but strong resolve that makes him wear his heart on his sleeve#that one time he let himself being angry and jealous of Claire he didn’t shy away from telling her right away#when he’s scared or excited or content or even sad he projects his mood towards the people around him#not to burden them but because if they know then he can act on those emotions#processing them#letting himself feeling them without repressing any of that#it’s how he remains so focused so attentive#so he can be there for jim and for his friends when they surrender themselves to be crushed by the weight of their hearts instead#but I think there are also things he learned how to omit#shreds of feelings he keeps close to his heart#his to guard and to feel#I see this when he falters on the verge of a bristle reply to one of nana’s silly stunts#when instead of lashing out on her he sighs and smile easy and soft to reassure her#I think he knows his way around people more than it seems#always filling the cracks in everyone’s lives with so much energy and loyalty and determination#if his parents are really alive#on another planet or simply floating among the stars#they can be proud of the young man he’s becoming#the earth is lucky to have him
