I had never thought of Visas and Bao Dur as a couple, but the more thought I put into it, the more I felt compelled by the idea! The two deserve the best.

Hi!! Thank you for asking! You'll make @isilrina dance for the rest of the day with this request 😉 It's an illustration for her BG3 story, Woven Destinies (on AO3). The color palette is already giving me headaches but I already have a few leads to explore, so we'll see what works best.

4. Do you think your style has changed over time? How so?

Oh absolutely! And I think that just comes from practice and figuring out what I like. When I started writing, it was very... stiff and clinical almost (probably because my work has me write that way), but after experimenting with POV, specifically limited third person, and imagery techniques (showing not telling, purposely telling to create distance, etc I think I’ve changed a lot!

10. What’s a theme that keeps coming up in your writing?

Ooh there are several: found family, unconventional intimacy (specifically, all the little ways people can grow close as well as intimacy in friend and relative relations in addition to romantic intimacy), Kindness As Strength, the nature of love, and several others that I am definitely forgetting but can’t think of off the top of my head.

Name 3 favorite characters to write.

Oh but it’s so hard to pick just three because I love writing different characters for different reasons! I guess over all, if we’re going off canon I’m going to have to say Nathaniel, Alistair, and Cole. Even though it’s been a hot minute since I wrote Cole. But an honorable mention definitely goes to Rendon Howe who was absolutely one of the most fun characters to write (bad guys are fun!), as well as Fergus and Anora who were very fun to explore. And of course I like writing all of my OCs.

Writing prompts?

So I'm on vacation with some time to spare...and I was thinking about writing something short for Harv and Trinne to keep my brain entertained. But I can't for the love of me find any prompt lists on this site. I'm searching 'writing prompts' and nothing of this sort pops up for me. Am I calling it wrong? What should I search for? Do you guys have any lists? This goes mostly to Cait because I know you reblog those from time to time...
