how did you and ramya meet? what were your first impressions about each other?
in apex legends universe, we met in mirage's bar and she worked there. i don't drink, so i just got water. lame. but she delivered! i had a few friends with me, too. she thought of me as a customer only, i thought she was unique. she has that energy, you know? and she's beautiful.
in peaky blinders au, koitar meets with rampart after she fucks up a bar with a couple of friends. rampart hears of it and gets interested in business' terms, and contacts koitar. she wants to make business, koitar obligies. they have some troubles with their relations, but they'll end up together in the end.
A really short drabble about Koitar and Revenant ; of how they’re related to each other in Koitar’s story.
Sometimes playing the same melody comforted her, and sometimes it haunted her mind - and whichever it was that day, she still did it. The same spot over the stone of lichen underneath her, her legs tangled on the harsh and unsteady surface, and her worn guitar in her lap; she lived through the same moment each day. Her shaggy, longer strands of dyed red hairs hung down to her chest, and the gentle wind softly brushed her exposed neck for her having tied her shorter hairs in the back in a small bun.
“I’m going there to see my Mother.” A drowsy, feminine voice sang. “She said she’d meet me when I come.” Green moss and grass lay before her in the somber forest all around. Tall trees swayed their slowly falling leaves in the wind.
“So I’m just going over Jordan.”
Another voice, not a singing one, joined behind her. “Going home.”
She paused her melody stringing from the guitar. No need to turn around, a crimson pile of metal and murder hung head down from a tree soon enough in front of her. His expression stayed unimpressed, nonchalant.
“Got no other songs to play, ever?” he asked in a monotone voice. A quick laugh fell off her lips.
“A few, Rev, yeah. Sure. But I’m not really good.”
“I don’t care. I didn’t come here to listen to you anyway.” Revenant swung smoothly down from the tree, and his feet hit the moist ground without him having to even let go of the branch. But he did, anyway. “You know I don’t wanna be here, kid.”
“I have a name,” she pouted her lips in avoidance, shrugged her shoulders at the same.
“Kaarina.”
A sigh left Kaarina’s thin lips and she let the guitar fall limp on her fat thighs. She refused to look at Revenant in the eye - though she showed no nervousness or signs of uncomfortable sensations in her expression, she tried to avoid his piercing eyes. She finally opened her mouth. “I know.” She continued to play the strings quietly under her fingertips, trying to ease her mind.
“So why am I here?” he asked then. Kaarina knew he’d have an unconcerned expression on his face if he could move it at all. Kaarina stayed quiet, she tried to think of a lie - whatever to just get something out of her mouth at that moment.
“I kinda wanted to ask you something.”
“What.”
“About Loba… She doesn’t really like me. She’s seen me talk with you.”
“That’s on you for talking to me. I don’t care.”
“Yeah, but-” Kaarina’s brows furrowed and she scrunched her upper lip- “But do you gotta act like an asshole around her all the time? I mean, you’re not a complete asshole.”
“I wanna be an asshole.”
“But I know you’re not.”
“Just because I killed that guy doesn’t mean you’ve seen anything of me.” Revenant tilted his hip along with his head, looking at Kaarina down on the stone under his lids. “Do you know if I did it for you?”
Kaarina stayed quiet for a second. She held her breath and pulled her lips together. “I don’t.”
“Yeah. Keep that in mind.”
“Well-” Kaarina quickly corrected herself, “You killed him after I asked you to.”
A scoffy laugh escaped Revenant’s systems. “I kill people for my own entertainment.”
“You also like to let people suffer,” she stated, “Like to… keep those alive you wanna see burn. That stuff. Didn’t it matter at all?”
“Did what matter.”
“What I said back then.”
Revenant rolled his eyes, stayed quiet for a second. Then he turned around. “So this is what you asked me here for?”
“I wanted you to stop being an asshole to Loba.”
“So she could be friends with you.”
“Yeah-”
“No.”
Revenant brushed his long fingers in the air and started to walk away. Kaarina tried to call for him to come back - to promise he’d even give it a chance, but he didn’t listen. He finally disappeared out of her sight, and she muttered ‘vittu’ quietly under her breath. Her fingertips pressed back against the strings of her guitar; she looked down to keep her pace in control, and she strung the same hollow melody.
“I’m going there to see my savior.” Flashes of Revenant’s bloody hands ran inside her mind. Sensations of happiness, rest of mind. Then in the dark of the night, that rest turned into nightmares. Her breath hitched inside her throat. “Just going over…”
what are your favourite things about rampart or loba (or both)? :)
loba — the way she's still strong and respects herself though she's gone through so much. i love her looks, of course, but i absolutely adore her for her fierce but so kind personality. i think she'd be that type of girl to give you drunk compliments and carry extra pads in her purse just in case someone needs them.
rampart — i love her cocky comments and weird humor, and i'm pretty sure there's some insecurities under her cool character she puts up in front of others. similiar to mirage ! i wanna see more soft sides of her. i also love her reckless, nonchalant attitude. i think she'd be really caring and affecionate if she'd just have the chance to break out of her outer ego.
